Thanks TBMeech you took the words right out of my mouth. As for getting your money back, I WISH. 19K will get you a tatty P1, 14 or 15k will get you a shed of a 2 door, trust me I looked for a friend a few weeks ago. An example: £14995 2door in grey (the same place is now selling a blue one with the wrong colour wheels in the autotrader) ,standard,TATTY and the Speedo didn’t work and he was just getting it fixed, genuine mileage honest. I’ve had mine for over 2 and half years and done 25000miles in it. I hardly ever drive it, there is no way all those ones advertised have less than mine. They either don’t ever move it or clocked.

As for insurance when I first got I was 23 & payed £1300, I insured it a few months ago aged 25 for £1100. I do have full NCB and that’s with Priviledge. That’s less than some of my mates pay on boring UK cars the same age as me.

Why would you want a P1 when you can have the real thing. P1 is a girls version of a V5 Type R.

I'm asking around 18 0r 19 cos i KNOW its one of the best out there. I've seen hundreds of them and none match uo to mine.

Ok mate, was just wondering, I dont personally like the P1, thats why I bought the STi 7, its just when I had a STi 4 I couldnt shift it and had it since new (1998) with 40K and scrapped £14K for it 2 years ago, there's alot of people who are very weary about imports

Good luck & ttt for a top mota

Nice motor, but I strongly dissagree that 14k-15k will buy you a shed of a two door.

Unless you're lucky. I talking from recent experience. Most have been imported by dodgy importers in the first place and havent had good SVA's. Once a car is imported it will automatically only have 1 oner on the log book,it could have had 10 and you'd never know.A lot have had paint and or panels replaiced. Thats why i got mine brand new from japan. There is a LOT of crap out there and its not hard to pull the wool over peoples eyes.

I must have been lucky! Bought a cool grey STi V5 last year that was imported new from Park Lane, serviced religiously by Park Lane and Scoobysport, had leda-b and brembos not to mention the ice and the car was imaculate with low milage for a shed worthy 14-15k.

I heard it's religion in Japan for them buy 2nd hand goods, hence the amount of Jap import cars coming over with 1 owner.

But then I think it was a car salesman that told me that

I'm a mate of Paul's and this car is the best around, so good it made me want one !
I only had £15K and we looked at loads but his car was in another league compared to them. They were all a pile of SH*T.

If you want a Type R 2dr then look no further.......

Triple X, 4K would just about cover the engine build let alone the air flow metre and filter, exhaust.

What i call a shed is another mans dream, I am one fussy git and i look into everything before i buy a car. I know every bit about my car. IF 1 THING I'VE LEARNT ABOUT CARS IS YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

I've seen most out there for 15K and they're not as good as mine, look at what my friend chubbz said. I also wouldnt sell him my car because i couldnt cope with seeing it every day and it not being mine! (i've said no to 2 of my friends that wanted it,the car that is.)

If a cars had any panels painted or slight dip in history i walk away. I wouldnt touch ANY trader or import dealer. Nearly every car i looked had had paint, sometimes not even the owners knew until i pointed it out. Dont fall into the trap that because your car is new that it hasnt had any paint or panels. I've done a lot of work for some major car companys and what i've seen would make doubt everything. I've seen so many crashed, scratched cars in delevery that get fixed and delevered to the customer as NEW!

I love my car,i know its good,i know its fast and i'm in no hurry to sell it. I put it on here to see what interest i would get. This is not the place to really sell a car.

Right i hate to point this out,but triple X you already have a car,why the hell are you on here knocking someone elses car. I'm sure paul would be more than happy to slate the price of your car when you come to sell it.

I've seen his car at shows and it did have an amazing stereo, i've also had a little race with him down a short staight and it pulled from me (i have a P1 with scooby sport exhaust).

You could spend 4K on yours, but it still wouldnt look as nice.
