Cool

I should imagine most drivers (including a lot of impreza owners) would hate my car (type RA) its hard work to drive, noise, spray on rubber tyres, STI suspension, gearing and generally tiring to be in. Huge fun though and still bring a smile to my face on every journey and plenty of attention , sure new models come along improvements are made but bringing out a new car doesnt change the fun I have in my classic. Had it two years and normally it would have gone by now but it like one of the family and scared to swap it incase I get something I dont like. Taken me 2 years to run it in and get round to do all the mods I wanted to do in the first week of ownership .

They are all awesome in their own way just depends on which variety you prefer.

Cheers

P1 E,
Tested Alcons from 100 -> 0 against Brembo's, Brembo's with braided hoses, Porsche calipers and a Porsche itself, Alcons won every time, so i think you are mistaken in your comments Matt, those other brakes might feel better, but in reality they are not!
Fair enough if you've done some tests and have come to that conclusion. Who's Impreza with Porche brakes did you use? I also don't believe that ultimate braking power is the whole story though and feel is just as important. I did also say that the best brakes are AP's, did you test these also?

The Alcons (discss) also are not really up to hard track use which is also why I wouldn't consider them. Having said that, nor are OE STi ones which is why I will change them. It's just that the Brembos that come as standard to the STi are in another leauge to the brakes that came fitted to the P1, and for around £600, I can upgrade them to be better than the Alcons and will stand up to hard track use. That's £1100 less than the Alcons which in my book makes them an all round better option.

Just IMHO

Matt
