Like so many I didn't meet your dad but read many of his posts or replies and again thought he had a great sense of humour and also very helpful and informative. My condolences to you and your family
I don't venture into general that often anymore and to find this was truly shocking news.

Gee,where do you start!
ive been fortunate so far not to have any close bereavements in family or friends, the last time i had shivers down my back like this was when i heard henri toivenen had died, its strange that you can feel this way when you dont personally know someone, yet know all about them....so sad.
like you say mole, quite often your father can be your best mate, mine is, and im sure you have had some of your best times with him before his premature end
my condolences

So sorry to hear the news.
we too only knew your dad from his comments on here and enjoyed watching his weekly posts and pictures of his car as he did different mods.
He will be greatly missed by all.
Our condolences to you and your family and hope u feel some strength from all the Scoobynet community, its quite overwhelming reading all of these posts and is great to see how much your dad had touched so many people.
Once again, our thoughts r with u and ur family,
Mark & Debbie

Sorry to hear your bad news. I never had the pleasure of meeting your Dad. Its always devastating when a family member passes away, but as you so rightly put it "he's gone, but not forgotten"!

I've only just spotted this thread as I've not been on Scoobynet General too much lately.
My deepest condolences Mole, to you and your family at this sad time.
As you probably know I lost my brother this year in an equally sudden way. It's very hard to lose someone so close, whose been there for as long as you can remember. But in some way I'm sure he will still be with you, watching over you and your nearest and dearest.
I remember reading quite a few of MD's posts and he replied to mine once or twice. Although I never met him he always seemed like a really genuine helpful bloke.
From the number of posts here you can see he was very well respected.
If I can please offer you any words of support they are these: Honour his memory by talking the gift he gave you - life - and making the very best of it.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and I will be sure to thrash Nick's Scoob in both their honours tonight.
Take care
Rich
