Apparently, the US was given a warning 4 days ago that there was going to be attacks on America/American citizens. Alot of the embassies around the world have been evacuated. But, as they get so many warnings, they have not done anything about it. Who could have thought it would lead to this?
The London Stock Exchange has been evacuated. Chicago buildings have been evacuated, including Sears tower.

I'm currently out in Israel working and listening to CNN net radio, sounds very bad. Can't get pictures as we have no TV. Trying to find out how the Israel authorities are going to react....

Palestinians have now denied they are responsible. Yasser Arafat has sent his condolences to the American people and the President.

I would assume that any plane flying off course over the usa at the mo is likely to get a welcome committee of fighters.
Must be an awful decision to decide whether or not to take it out over possibly populated areas, or let it hit what will be evacuated government buildings by now..............

Plane hit west side of Pentagon. One corner of the building was destroyed, leaving a 6-story gap.
I'm in a suburb of Washington, DC. My wife can see the Pentagon burning from her office 8 miles away. The fire is not yet under control.

50,000 people in the trade centre building when planes hit-according to CNN. Unsure as to how many were evactuated.

There are 50 US and 22 international airborne aircraft that will be allowed to land in the US. All US flights are at "ground stop" (no take offs), the first time in history.
