All you need to do is say sensitive things like the classic shape is much better than the bug-eye and you're game..

Heh, you're right, it is the truth. Classic shaped scoobies are lighter than the newer ones.

Well rich if thats the case, an imported STI type RA is faster and better than a P1.

Yes, but the classic has MORE power, in a LIGHTER body, LOOKS way better, and hasnt dropped in value anything like a new BugEye

Imports (classix) are the way to go. Had they used one of them in Top Gear, the Impreza would never have lost to the RS. True or not?

I have to agree with Pete that the Classic is a better looking car...

Dictionary definition of classic: " of the first class; of allowed excellence; simple, harmonious, proportioned, finished".
I owned a wagon before my STi and by no stretch of the imagination would I describe it as harmonious, finished (as in the finished article), or of the first class. Leaky & noisy frameless windows, juddering clutch, tacky interior, looks of a warthog (in the opinion of a friend) all saw to that! Even the fabled performance wasn't that great once one took the auld rose coloured specs off!
Surely we mean the older car, or the older version, or the first example, or the original Scooby. Classic does not apply here I'm afraid. We have to look at other marques for that deinition to be applied, methinks.
