Wink

proper car m8

according to the SIDC faq, this is just about the fastest accelerating impreza ever made.

I can't believe that no-one has bought this yet at this price! sure to hold its value well too.

fastest accelerating impreza ever made.

You have to try it to believe it mate, Jewboy spent about £7,500 getting his MY93 WRX up to 358 BHP and he only just pulled away from mine at 297 BHP.

Same as the WRX STi RA, Faster than the P1 and faster then the Type R.
Mainly because of the gearbox I believe, At 120mph on the motorway you can floor this baby and it is just like getting a kick up the backside. To the best of my knowledge the book says 0-60 for a standard 280 BHP RA is 4.5 seconds.

Or...... slower than sti Type RA as less torque, at least as fast as P1, and at least as fast as Type R (same if WRX Type R, slower than Sti Type R due to less torque)

Gear ratios are the same as Sti Type Ra and Type R I think. Longer ratios than simple WRX Type R I think.

Only slightly less torque than the sti ra, but much lighter shell than the sti ra and the type r, hence why quicker and the P1 does not even get close.

I have a 265bhp WRX RA and didn't realise how fast they were in the grand scheme of things.

Both are the same BHP as standard, but I would have thought that the RA would take the STi 5 off the mark. We are only talking about 3/4 of a second 0-60 (or something like that), so realisticly very hard to tell the difference.

Basher

This is very true, its just that my STI 5 seemed to have more punch but I think this was down to nearly 300lb/ft torque.

My new RA will ultimately have more power and torque when I have finished

I do not know how true it is mate, but I hear you can take the STI RA engine right to the max.

Happy Fiddleing

I hope so, this was my main reason for buying a STI RA. They are not easy cars to find, especially cars that have no skeleton with them.

Just a little odd driving a car that is older than the one I sold and looks just like my very first Scoob an UK MY95 inside.

I have just bought a new one, but still love my old one as well.
Whilst the new one has a feel all of it's own, I will never forget My RA, It's a Top Car.

Nice

I decided to split my bugeye fund and buy the RA for me and a Forester Turbo for the wife and sprog. Gives me license to tune without compromise. Also I always prefered the face lift cars with STI spoiler to all the other except the 22B maybe. Hope you like it?
