I have an auto and I sit at traffic lights in neutral with the handbrake on, no need to use park. When the lights change I'll make a quick flick of the selector to find Drive, and release the hand brake when I need to move off.
As for annoying things, people who don't use there indicators are top of my list, especially at roundabouts. I'd advocate breaking people's fingers as a punishment for not using your indicators, at least then they'll have an excuse, apart being bone idle or ignorant which they obviously are.

Whats wrong with driving around with your front fogs on?
I always have mine on whatever the weather, day and night.
I find that you get more flashes and waves that way.....
Ive even uprated the bulbs in mine to highten the effect.....
I believe they are drivinglights and not foglights, therefore should be on when ever your driving and thats the way it should be.

Sat at traffic lights which turn green and the car in front indicates to turn right closing the hwole lane and causing extreme stress.
Middle lane hogging on the motorway, boy does that **** me off. Even my other half does it.
Rear fog lights on in the rain or fog lights on at all. For christ sake when do we have enough fog to put them on anyway.
On whole every other driver except myself of course.

Yoza my boy,
The term driving lights are lights that come on with your main beam.
The little switch on your dash that lights up green ( front ) and orange ( rear ) are bl**dy FOG LIGHTS.
You are right though, I do notice people more with there FOG LIGHTS on and think to myself what a **** must have no friends and be very sad and need there FOGS on to get noticed.
Not personal Yoza you Fog Light Fiend.
Just turn them off and use them in adverse weather conditions, THAT'S FOG OR TORRENTIAL RAIN if you did'nt know.

Sadest thing Ive done to my cars(IMHO)are, having a sunstrip made up at a sign company for my 309GTI peugeot, which read.........
PEGEOT TALBOT MOTORSPORT,I put the decal on the screen, then covered it in limo black window tinting film to match the rest of the windows in the car.I thought the sunstrip looked the bo11ocks
. Until someone pointed out it was spelt wrong
,left it on till I sold it though....
That was 12 years ago,I thought That would be hard to beat until this year when I took my grille badge off(MY01 WRX) painted it glitter pink which was bad enough, but then stuck it back on upside down.To add insult to injury it was my other half that noticed it was down side up after I had driven it around for a couple of weeks
.

Re the baby on board sign.
I never race when the littleun is in with me. B4 i had the sticker, i used to get them horrible little Saxo things egging me on and then flying past as if to say "Ha, beat you". Now that ive got the sticker noone eggs me on. Mind you, as soon as shes been dropped off, the sticker comes off immediately, and I go on the hunt for bigger things than them Saxo and 306 whadyacallthems!

PS Arron,
Foglights or driving lights whatever.........
Mine are staying on........if you look at at MROs advert flashin up on your screen youll see that they were on then aswell.
Im sick of changing the bulbs though, its every 6 weeks when they are on constantly.

Dificult to choose between-
1 a cheesy old Ford Crapi tarted up to look like an Aston Martin Vantage.
2 a very tired TR7 kitted up to look (well very slightly) like a Ferrari F40.
Funniest(sadest)sight
Imagine a large fall of snow followed by a cold night....result
large mounds of rock hard snow in the middle of each lane with tyre tracks either side.
Now imagine a reliant robin driving up said road.....talk about a rough ride anyway funniest thing I've ever seen!

A bug eyed scoob with ridiculous surfboard style rear spoiler. This car is a serious minger definitley more anne widicombe than holly valance. I am currently thinking of sending a pic of one off to mingers.com for inclusion on their site

Another vote for non use of indicators, that so winds me up!
People who think that by exteriorly (if thats a word!) modding up there car it will go faster... Was in my M3 last week at lights and a Scooby 1.6 sport pulled up beside me; he raced of lights, raking the **** out of his car - I just looked over in disbelief then accelerated until he was a blip in rear mirror!!
Saw a 205 cabriolet on motorway last month doing 70, his roof had filled up like a balloon and was flapping in and out!!!![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Funny that T3RBO I like do exactly the same to M3's I just laugh at their delusions of grandeur how on earth can someone with a german hairdryer with a whopping 320 odd hp really think that they could ever actually go fast?. Do you find it hard actually getting the car to move with such a small amount of grunt ?
Still it seems you have the right idea racing 1.6 scoob's and Nova's. I just love annhilating bavarian taxi's in my dagenham dustbin.

Edited because after only being on this forum for a few days I get patheticly childish comments...
Also the thread is about sad/annoying things on road and any 1.6 trying to race (didn't even say I raced, just pulled away!) a M3 to me is sad

Sad things on the road.......where do you start?!
Painted brake drums.
17 year olds leaning over the steering wheel of their mums fiesta.
"Baby on board" or Christian fish badges.....advert that they're **** drivers.
Tailgaters........Arghhhhh!!
Swarms of kids on Mopeds.....especially when i'm on my motorbike and they keep getting in your way.
Coffin dodgers in metros.
Metros in general.
Ka's that aren't driven by sexy young women.......false advertising!
BMW drivers.......not all, just most of 'em.
People that open their doors on to your car in car parks.
The actual state of the roads in general.
I can go on forever. I'm not usually a moaning bastid, just had a bad day.![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)

I think it's funny when people stick Citroen AX spoilers on the top of their roof when they're designed to be stuck to the back of the boot. They look so out of place and probably make the car unstable if anything.

TaviaRS, after seeing your post about the amplified engine/exhaust thing, I remembered being behind a Focus in Banbury at the weekend. It had two grilles in the rear bumper and was producing the most amazingly loud note. What was amusing was that there must have been a loose connection as it was crackling (I'm an audio pro so I know the sound) and the whole thing was a joke! Anyway, it confirmed my thinking about Focus drivers!

ScoobyDoo Stickers on foglight covers and a scooby doo icon on numberplates. Now that is REALLY sad, and I don't know anyone who'd have them on thier car

Everyday in Livingston going to work I see:
A 1.8 GL Carlton with a Mitsi evo 6 rear spoiler. Luvverly.
A cavalier 4 door old with a cossie whale tale. Slurrpy.
A white transit van with a bodykit - WTF!!! Uggerly.
An old mk2 Astra with scooby rear spoiler, and front bumper with spots. FFS!!
Things I really like to see include:
- Rear fog lights left on to blind me.
- No signally from BMW drivers - its a class thing.
- Cars that look like should be in a scrappy still on the road - you know the ones I mean (full of rust holes, multi coloured panels, 3 wheel trims that don't match).
- Everyone sitting in the outside lane up each others hoops, when the 1st lane is virtually empty.
- Roadworks on the M8 with no one seeming to do any work.
- Buses that overtake you at 80mph in the rain.
- Cars which sit right up your hoop and the driver seems to pay more attention to picking his nose, than concentrating on the road.
- Drivers who look like they dont have pubes, never mind a licence.

I sat in a 5 mile jam on the M11 last year because the road workers had forgotten to remove a sign illustrating that the two outside lanes were closing in 400yds.
All three lanes of traffic squeezed into the slow lane for nothing!!!!!!
