The Cave thing is on here at the mo. I was looking at it last nite, and it gave me quite diturbed sleep.
It's called "Cave story" I think.

I'd been told by a friend that if the cursor ever moved by itself and there was a 'whirring' from the hard-drive, they were the sure signs that indicated someone was hacking into my computer

what a load of bollox!

So this guy is scared because he has been traced 'by a hacker' that is remoting into his PC (even though he probably has no client software to enable someone to do this) so is in hiding but decides to create a website which could easily track what IP uploaded the pages and then what ISP he connects thru and finally to him. Me cynical?

I must admit, I thought it a bit of a coincedence that someone with just the correct knowledge/knowhow to recover this film and develop it would stumble across this camera inthe middle of nowhere!!!

Surley if "they" know who this guy is, they would monitor this site and each time it is updated, they would know where it is done from. Even if he is in internet cafes, if they know who he is, they could close down the area pretty quickly.

Anyway, whether it's real or a hoax or publicity, I've been suckered in and have bookmarked it and diaried it just so I can see what it is.

This is rumoured to be a viral marketing campaign by SAP or some other big company. Seems to be working. Somthing to do with their next big product release.

Just a thought

What if its some computer virus spread through the bookmark on that day disabling the p.c.

Ive no idea about these viruses maybe some of the computer literate can explain

That cave story was so boring and so longwinded that I stopped reading it.

As for this one, load of cobblers. He's seen the X-files too much. As if he 'stumbles' across a camera and then types in a few words on the net, next thing a black van comes round. LOL as if. Why don't they close his website down? Roll on March 8th because it will be a load of cobblers. He just wants his hits on his website to go up.
