Sorry to hear your troubles Phill. On the insurance question, the "stolen" car's owner's insurance covers your damage ONLY if the driver at the time of the accident is identified!!!!!! Just been through a similar event myself and we can claim from the central insurance fund (MIB I think) but that takes forever plus. Bad news I'm afraid.

This is great !!!!
Phil sorry to hear about your car and I hope the ba$tards hang for it, but from a spectators point of view this thread is great.
Should have told the police that you thought one of them had a gun, then see there ***** move

they'll probs be back soon now that its dark. If not in the middle of the nite !! The police should send some1 to camp out cos they're obviously up to something they shouldn't be with those masks.
Also, why are they not gathering evidence such as fingerprints. Because unless there's money to be made they are useless.

phil, sorry to hear about your car. btw, did you wear glove when getting into the rover and removing the ht lead? just dont want you to mess up any finger prints on the rover!

Agree with the above!
Where's the fingerprint team.....?
Probably wont show up, but it's got to be worth a look, especially if they've been back, and opened the car with bare hands!

Sorry about your loss/damage etc :-( Got a camcorder on a tripod ready? If you do, just keep it rolling all the time as sod's law say's that when they turn up you'll miss it!
Good luck!

Any small lanes/entrances to 'you're street'?? watch out for these, if you think they ,ay turn up tonite....
They may park up a street or 2 down and wander through the pathways... if they get disturbed they'll make a run for it.....

Phil, just read the thread through, thank god I dont live in your area. Have you ever thought of moving, we can leave cars in the road with the keys in & they dont go, I know because I did it once with a rental car the company would not collect from my drive, left a Vectra in the road for 2 days unlocked with the keys under the visor and it wasnt touched
