You can still get copies of 98 upgrade but the best price I've seen is 85 quid and a full OEM version of 98 is only 80. It's worth looking around to see if you can get a upgrade copy 2nd hand from those who've upgraded to millenium. And yes you'd still be left with the port problem, but you can get a 2 port USB PCI card for around 15. All that puts about 100 onto the cost of your camera though so Andy's idea might be best, depends on whether you think it's worth upgrading your PC.

As an alternative you cound look at the new Sony mvc-cd cameras that use a 3 inch CD for media, plugs straight into your CDROM drive.

I only have a chaepo digi at the moment (Casio QV5000sx and it EATS batteries alive, (Nimh)!
I have my eye on the Minolta Dimage V, a bit pricey but I'm gonna trawl some sites abroad when I get the time and see how much it costs elsewhere?
