Adam, they're 190 bhp as my mate keeps telling me, That would be my choice but I have yet to see 1 under 7k let alone 6.

My vote goes for a Honda CRX VTEC coupe. (late model J plate?) Probably about 4-5K these days.

Fantastic handling little car, low slung and a bit individual. Good size boot and takes a roofrack an 'all.

Still wish I'd never sold mine.....

If he wants cheapish, stylish, quickish and good handling and a bit of practicality what about and NA Porsche 944? The 2.5 or the 2.7 can be had for bugger all money, dead reliable if maitained properly, fairly quick but not mind warping and you can get a mountain bike in the back. Rear seats are crap though.

Fiat Strada Abarth 130TC. Upgrade standard Solex carbs to twin 45s, decent head job and easy 155-160bhp and this would really fly and sound great. Great drivers car , apart from slightly weedy brakes. Plenty of change from 6K for spares and insurance.

How about a 106 Rallye? The older 1.3 type. Fan-diddly. Spend what's left over on a really good pair of ear plugs. Nothing else as good for controlled slip-sliding about, I recon.
That's 'controlled' slip-sliding rather than the more scary type.

Integrale 8 v or 16v.

Costly to run though and insure. But you would get a good one for 6k if you look properly. (Evos are still 10k +)
