Tattoos say JUST ONE thing about their owners, "Look at me arent I clever, pause, dribble, shake of the head and a Derrrrrrrrrrrr"

And piercings?? hmmmm loverlly NOT!!

Made by morons, sported by morons, I can only assume a huge inferiority complex is responsible??

Complete Madness!!

Individuality? Creating a statement?

Most people have them these days thats why I havent got a tattoo after all. Secretly I would like a tasteful Japanese one tho. And I think belly piercings look very cute

As said before is personal choice, however I have two piercings that I'm more than happy with - while's away the boring hours !!!

Anyway I had a choice between a tatoo or a piercing, I erred on the side of something that can be removed if I dont like it with out it leaving a mark...

cheerio....

I have thought about getting a tattoo (black panther sort of holding on, with bloody coming from the claws on my top left shoulder) - had it done in henna(?) - myself and my fiancee both really liked it - but then I see some old bloke and the tattoo is all wrinkled and greenish and it looks naff!

'C' I thought it was APAB not ACAB but thats trouble, like having love & hate, & the little birds on your hand which is sort of saying I have done prison [bird].

on Women I dont want to see the tattoos when she is walking down the street, there a few old boilers around her who have them on their forearms [classy] the mother of the 12 year old girl in crawley who is pregnant [mother has nine kids herself & is single] was in the daily mail showing off her forearm tatoos the other day, again classy.

I'm thinking of getting a massive one on my back with my kids names, date of birth, weight etc etc etc just cos I want to, not because I cant remember.

then I may get a spiders web on my elbows & have a punk hair cut with spikes & dyed green

I agree - it's personal taste. I have a tatoo & a piercing but they are both in places that can't be seen in everyday life! I had them because I wanted them, not because I wanted people to see them all the time!!!

Hmmm,

Talking of inferiority complexes.....

pslewis has something detrimental to say about everything and one.

Quick conclusions is that he is:

sad
ugly
old
ugly
old
lonely
delusional
rocket science geeky
old
ugly
sad

forgot

no friends
old
ugly
sad

Oh

And back to the topic

Doesn't float my boat,

but if people wanna do it and like it fair play. If someone says what's the point of a Scoob turbo in real life, waddya say? And they then disagree.

Is personal choice. Simple really.

CraigH - my old matey boy - and fellow sad git

My grandad had tattoos and MADE me promise, at the age of 11, NEVER to be a sad loser and have them done - am I glad that I didnt when thinking of it at age 19!!! he saved my life!!

My father-in-law has them and wants to lead a 'respectable' life, after the army, he HATES his!!!! swears that they have held him back and means he cannot wear short-sleeved shirts in the summer and he HATES that!!!

At the end of the day - the people who have a brain run the country - and they DO NOT have tossie, lower class, tattoos - whatever anyone may think - and they DO NOT want to hire a plank who has followed some sad, lonely, vision and had one done.

That is the way in this world - Tattoos are solely the reserve of the easily led - and who on gods earth wants to hire one of those??

Pete

I think i saw your one on your right arm David when we were working on the car, did not think much of it TBH.

I personally think some look ok, but then others are just way OTT.

When i am drunk i often say to emma, that i fancy getting one done. Fortunatley there is no tatooist near me, so i dont end up regretting it the next day, which i think i would.

i dont regard people as tossers are anything else just because they have a tattoo, i judge them on their overall personality. if that stinks, then sod em!

LMAO you're not on a wind up are you

Is it so you can tell your mates you have a tatoo/piercing in case you run out of conversation?

.....or are they like comedy ties, and its people with no personalities that have them so people take notice?
I like them I have 2, but I had mine done in greyscale I carry some felt tip pens around with me so that when I'm bored I can colour them in stops me turning into a mass murderer

I have an eyebrow piercing but would never get a tatoo. It hurt a lot and I wouldnt have had it done if I knew how much hassle it would be for the first few weeks (cleaning FOUR(!!) times a day) etc etc. I will take my piercing out if I ever go to a job interview and it will stay out.

My GF got a tat and I felt ill just looking at it. Scabby crabby horrible looking skin around the tat itself. Blech!

lol

Tattoes are not just for the lower classes! I shagged a bird from Ascot whos bedroom was bigger than my house and she had 3 of the blighters! Funny though, never went back for more which is strange as she was so minted!

Iam an IT Mgr for a large car finance company and I have 2, I have to say that PSL is right that some people do see you in a different light as soon as they see the tat - sad but true!!

Not something thats so important here but it caused me a few funnly looks when I worked in the city!

Each to thier own, different strokes for different folks!

Having a tat makes you look at someone differently?

Several people I know and a few friends have them, I have never even thought about it. Why should I, I like them for who they are and not what they have had done to their skin.

This thread is just an other example minds being more closed than maybe they should be.

A tattoo makes you a lower class person, sometime pslewis you do spout some rubbish!

My sister in law, who is currently a 30-yr-old head-turner, has just got a permanent tattoo, fairly large, on the right side of her (flat) lower stomach, very arty pattern, not a dragon or soccer club name.

Why? As she has an appendix scar, which originally stuck out like a neon light. Now people will look at the tattoo instead, which has been worked around the scar to frame it.

For the rest, each to their own. The art may or may not be nice, but can't say I like the permanence.

Dogmaul, I'll try and find the piccys of that bloke we saw in York, the one with piercings across his spine OUCH!!!

On a personal note - I have a tat, and 7 piercings and I love them. My tat you can't see 'cos it's on my hip and my piercings are all on my ears and only one of them makes people wince and ask why I had an earing put there!

Hey do what you like - it's not hurting anyone (only yourself) you're the one that has to live with it. I do agree though that some tats (especially of women) look terrible and give out the wrong signal completely.

MATTel - Its not that you look at people differently but some people do look at people with Tatts in a very different way!

I was working in Harbour Exchange, Dockalnds 2 years ago contracting for network support to a big IP carrying company and I used to go to work in jeans and a T shirt. One morning when looking at a problem with the Sales directors laptop my sleeve was raised as I was leaning over his desk - he saw one of my tatts and from that day forth treated me very different indeed! - sad but very true!

Everyday people couldnt care less as its so common, but this guy was obviously taken back by an M3 driving IT Contractor with a big **** off tiger down his arm!

I dont treat people any different as I amsure most dont but there are the people out there that do - they are the narrow minded people, and unfortuanlty there are lots of them!

Edited for retarded spelling.
