It 'SHOULD' be O.K on a WRX as long as the timing isn't too advanced and the fuelling is good.
The WRX has slightly lower compression 'apparently' than the UK and hence has better det protection.

What adjustment did you make to the map for fuelling/timing?

A modification to the timing of the PROVA tuning map (retarded it slight at high load / high revs to prtect against detonation.
The PROVA map itself is a slightly tweeked WRX95 Z4 ECU map

MarkE,

That's very accurate... how do you get it so precise

Actually the maps only set to 16.42psi, so where are you getting the extra 0.07psi from

Scott, as you know I've ordered one of these adapter boards and the 15psi map from David (still waiting excitedly). How confident are you that this map will be OK without a knocklink or AFR monitor? On a UK MY95.

Cheers

S'what I thought, I've been running my DIY EBC at 14.5psi for ages now without any problems, just wondered if the new map had increased spark advance and therefore an increased danger of det. It's not like we're increasing the boost that far.....
