I know you've recently got an RA but I've seen andy F's RA launched at Crail and whilst 1st gear is over in the blink of an eye, 30 is still not going to be less than 0.5 seconds....and he's got 400hp........so ![Stick Out Tongue](images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Andy - as a point of interest if your reading this, what is your peak g's during a launch on your little g-ometer thing?

FWIW - My Scoob G force trace on a 12.18 second / 117mph 1/4 mile run (I must have been sleepy
)
When comparing MPH remember and allow for the standard speedo 10% overread. My speedo reads just under 130mph at the end of the 1/4 mile.
Note - Anything over 1G is actually quicker than falling off a cliff !

Notice the spikes when changing gear
this is what breaks gearboxes, the shock loading.
Here is an acceleration comparison with a UK car - VF23 turbo/link ECU/decat/induction/sti intercooler running approx 20 psi boost.

Saxo, Trout is well known to have a tape measure he uses to measure his turbos. He has stretched this tape measure a bit. A pedal bin circumference measures about 2 inches and a dustbin measures about 4 inches. In this way his "weeny turbo" is still quite big - VF28

Cheers Andy, those G's are pretty impressive and you can pull more than 1G going off a cliff if you have some other form of propulsion - I'm thinking jet engine ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
John, so its a bit like me saying I have a 10" **** in that I'm stretching the truth a little![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)

No comment Saxo
I say this before anyone dives in and says that your perceived 10 inches is anything to do with your published exploits with other vehicles in this very forum
Whatever, if you don't have a 10" **** you must have a stirring spoon just as long the amount of controversy that you generate

So Andy,
Your car might possibly give an Audi RS6 some work to do?

Read that thread Kevin
Nice one !
Up to 138mph - Audi doesn't stand a chance
Those 'old men'
that buy those sort of cars wouldn't be wanting to go that fast anyway, would they

Andy - that was one slowarse modded UK car.
Mine made 110 mph in 12.72 secs with similar mods (I ran a HKS fmic, otherwise same bits), and actually lower boost.
![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Your results are
though mate. Good work!
/J
P.S. Got a somewhat larger turbo now...and front wheels are diffed.
The question is - have I got the guts to bring it to the dragstrip again?
Anyone want to sponsor me with a tranny?

AJ - Sorry, I've got bits of it spread around the workshop at the moment, it's getting a wee treat for xmas
I'll let you know when it's together again ![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
S A M That's typical of a 280ish bhp UK car IMHO the 1/4m time was 13.56 @ 104 with a not too aggresive launch (twas not my car)
It normally needs 300 and/or Sti gearing to get in the 12's/110+

I can just see the thread now, "Saxo takes mother from child in horror night crash" - My flaming would probably run to more than just 14 pages ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
If AJ wants to go sideways through the countryside at 1am at 100mph then she can take the car and go. I'll be giving it big ZZZZ's by the time she gets back

fit yourself a paddle clutch, chip your ecu for anti-lag and set off low revs, then boot her... boom boom. you can get really low tickover in 1st, then as soon as you put your foot down... ![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
