Not once have I been pulled over by Sting, Stuart Copeland or Andy Summers. Or any other police. Had licence since 1979, and it's still my original green one!

 

Still clean so far. I hope I haven't tempted fate now.

I have no points, but one solitary speeding ticket from a damn camera(113 in 100 zone). What are the laws in the u.k? It is 200points then a ban, you get about 20-odd points for a minor offence and a $400 (140pound) fine. Do you guys reckon that your laws are fairly strict, just a big money making scheme in my opinion. I was quite amused to see the 2300 and something brits who got snapped after the Rally Of Great Britian.

I've had a clean license since I was 17. That was 8 years ago..

 

My licence is clean (but very tatty looking) and has been since I passed my test nearly 19 years ago <touches the nearest bit of wood>.

I must be a very lucky person

 

Forgot to mention, I still got my original paper license, not the ugly credit card thingy. I wonder how much would that be worth?

 

I'm sure I'm tempting fate by saying I have no points on my licence, guaranteed to get a ticket now! Did have 3 points about 10 years ago - damn that 2.0 Capri was fast, well it was at the time Mr Policeman was pointing his laser at me.

New to Scooby ownership so I don't want a bad start and get points in my second week.....

Used to have 3 points for supposedly going through a red light, its funny how the police get confused over what green and red looks like !!

 

None here either my licence has been clean for 10 years, don't know how though

About 7 years ago bought a 4x4 because thought it was getting v. dodgy blasting everywhere in the 205.

On the way back from the RAC got nicked for 53mph in 30 limit. Don't believe the speed as car was only 0-60 in 16sec , but I was probably going over 30. So that was £15k well spent (not).

I wondered how long it would take someone to say that. As I've tried to say a million times I'm usually motoring along slower than Mondeo/Vectra/BMW rep boys. The times when I do open her up I keep my eyes wide open for hazards and yellow coats behind bushes!

 

Clean licence since 1972 edited to say I never travel over any speed limits now, as I am older and wiser

but I was fined 1972 for speeding(no points system then asfaik) £20 which was 4 weeks wages as an apprentice. It was for 65mph in a 30mph through speed trap and 90mph when the copper jumped out of the way trying to stop me 400yds down the road
