How many folk have NOT got any points?

Clean (the points are still on, but expired). 9 points, never more than 3 on the licence, in 600,000 miles isn't bad. Also been lucky so far.
I did lose my licence at 15 for 2 weeks for letting a mate borrow my BSA and swatting a police car!
Colin.

I've got a bit of an extraordinary story... up until four years ago I had 15 points on my licence - the only thing that saved me from a ban was the fact that I needed my licence for my work. In one month I collected a huge 12 POINTS! I already had 3 points, so I really was in the wrong place at the wrong time! The worst thing was that I had to be really careful for 3 years after that, sweating every time I saw a copper even if I hadn't done anything wrong (it would have been an instant ban if they copped me for anything else!).

Blimey
22 years of clean driving. I reckon it's just a matter of time before I get nicked whaat with all these wretched GATSOs around.
I only do about 8 000 miles pa, since I use a train during the week. This helps in two ways, firstly I'm not one the road much, so my chance of getting caught are less :O, and secondly I'm much calmer when I do drive.
How many of you have stayed clean 'cos you've got some form of detector though?

Squeaky clean for 14 years.
Only ever been pulled once and that was 2 days before Christmas. I had just pulled out of a pub carpark that the police had been circling. I was driving a car which had a full bodykit kit and they pulled me round the corner, said it was routine. Asked if I had been drinking, I said no I'm 6 months pregant, he said then why are you smoking. Made me laugh. I had 2 pissed up blokes in the car that found this hilarious.
Cheers

Had 12 "yes 12" points on my licence when I was a lot younger, (used to drive a gang of lads to Newcastle every few days, kind Mr judge decided I could keep my licence as I had wifey & ankle snappers to provide for). Going back 18 years now, Law wasn't as strict then IMHO.
Been clean ever since the points could be removed.
Failed to add, got six points on both occasions within a matter of weeks of each other for no insurance on my Capri, Plus a £375 fine in total.
Thinking about it, I want to retract my statement about the law not been as strict then.

None yet after 7 years of driving. Had a few close calls with mobile speed cameras. I dont drive slowly either. More down to luck than anything I'd say - long may it last!

Been driving for 12 years now in various modes (3 scoobies, Nissan 300ZX and 200SX)... Not so much as a double look from the old bill (god knows how and thank the lord 'cause my right foot is possesed) ;-)))
Oh, also written off an armoured personnel carrier and a flyover on the M6!!!

Never been stopped in the Scoob, never been photographed (to my knowledge
) never been done.
Although when out mapping recently came over the brow of a hill at a little over the limit to be confronted by a plod volvo turning right - he was giving the special slow down hand sign.
I replied with the Yes Officer I understand hand sign back, something like a reverse victory sign I seem to remember!

They said that it was a 'temporary speed limit' but I travel the road very often and don't remember any signs etc.
Caught flashed in June this year and received 'notification of fitting up' mid-October!

No points in 15 years of driving. Not even been stopped in the scoob.
Got pulled over twice in my younger days. Once for going through a traffic light that had turned orange a second before I passed it. It was on new years morning at about 1am. I told the copper that if I had braked I could have skidded and caused an accident. He bought it.
The second time, I stoped opposite a tyer place late at night so I could jot down their name and number (needed some new tyres). Problem was that the tyre place was next to the cop shop. A couple of them come out in a panda car stopped me down the road and wanted to know what I was doing stopping out side the police station.

Mine's clean - been so for 16 years - I used to be pulled up in my rally mini about 3 times a week, but it was always 'why have you got a rollcage' or 'do you have valid insurance' etc...
I've never been pulled up in the scooby, but that may change now I've had the B/B fitted (!)![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
Still, as long as I keep my nose clean......
