I have a vast selection of both sorts, fiction and non-fiction. Once tried to catalogue my books, whilst I was at school.... Didn't get very far - by the time I'd reached I in the authors I was running at 7000 books and I'd barely scraped the surface...so I gave up. ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Good job the folks have a big house!

7000, seriously....and this was some...ooh...15 years ago? Something like that. My dad developed a nervous twitch whenever the word "shelves" was mentioned... In the end he re-arranged my room and then threw shelves down one wall, floor to ceiling... After 6 months...I needed some more.![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Would not like to count how many books I have now...

Ah...but you are talking to the person who once read a 563 page book inbetween lessons one day at school...
Going to the library as a child each week we could get 10 books out per card - that's 30 between us. My brothers would get 5 or 6 books each and I would fill up the remainder on their cards. By the time we'd got home I'd invariably already worked my way through at least 2.![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I've also read "It" by Stephen King in just over an hour. Then I had to write a book report on it for my brother's friend as he needed it for the following day...
He got an A+!

Well, it's taken me a few weeks to read The Black House, but I still haven't finished it. I only read at night in bed and find I cannot get to sleep as easily if I don't. I get it from my Mum, she's just the same.
Saying that, I only have about 50 pages to go, so that'll be an early night for me
