Nice one John - just the facts delivered in a concise and unemotive way. I'm so sick of being humble and it being implied that I (for one) was in some way to blame for having my day, time and money wasted at this almighty **** up of an event.

Thanks for setting the recod straight.

I very much doubt they'll run anything to that effect John. They probably don't want to rub people like Palmer up the wrong way.
Notwithstanding the benefit fo hindsight , I would think that there was more to be lost from Palmersport rubbing CCC up the wrong way than vica - versa .

Never underestimate the power of the written word.

I had no choice Diesel, that article was so far from the truth it had to be corrected. CCC will be running it a month later now, in order to give Bedford the oportunity to respond.

I think the fact CCC will be taking a look at Bedford and the way it operates is what could be interesting. It will also be interesting to see if the attitude JP showed in this thread continues in print. His website certainly has not been updated to date, and has nothing on the noise page to say the noise limits may be lowered on the day to a lower level.

It's a shame it will take a while to publish, however it is only right that all sides get to have their say.

Question

Just read this in March's issue of Car and Car Conversion about the Scoobynet track day

It does say halfway through that the track noise limit is 85db??

"sadley, for a good quarter of the punters, they and their 'Performance' exhausts had to go home earlywith no after-party cake.Which was seriously bad news for them, but great for those under the db limit who had a lot more track time and space.
Lesson? The track's db levels are present and well publicised before you arrive. do yourself a favor and get your car tested at a local garage local to you before you pay up,travel half way up the country then get no track action when you get there.firm but fair.
What local garage has a noise meter these days????

Hmm

Unhappy

If it does say that then it's wrong as the driveby limit on the day, and still is (according to JP's website) 87.5db

JP did however on the day, change the limit to 85db (which in my view is breach of contract) which was why some people were insensed.

Hux, don't suppose you'd be kind enough to scan the article and mail it to me would you?

Matt.
