Any one agree that Impreza's are crap?

It all started cause some 'sado boy' said his car was undefeated ? no ?
Or was it cos cause he spun it cos he couldn't handle it ?
The reason you're so undefeated is probably cos the other driver looks in your window and thinks "young lad, sporty car, probably can't handle it, I'll give it a miss"
So you go on your merry way thinking - I won, I won ...... sad really.

So you really think I'd be foolish enough to think someone has been trying to keep up with/pass me when they weren't
I just came off the gogar roundabout side by side with an AMG merc! He didn't go for it and I couldn't be bothered wasting fuel anyway so I didn't go for....does this sound like the little pr1ck boy-racer you think I am I don't tailgate people or drive agressively to try and entice them to accelerate. If I was a racing ned I'd have been all over his a$$ to see if I could get a rise out of him.
I'm more than able to handle my car thank you very much. Its quite communicative now and I find its handling to be much more predictable and consistent.

I'd have happily gone for it if he had as the conditions were ideal! I just didn't fancy flooring it unless I was going to get to see how much faster the AMG was.
I used to find a lot of people would try it on when I had the VTS but nobody does with the Impreza I posted on the SSC forum and asked why and was shocked at the result. Most people said, 'cause a scoobys faster than my VTS/172/etc', 'I'd loose, why bother' This just doesn't make sense to me?? As I've said before, my favourite 'racing' (we'll call it that for simplicity) event was when an E46 M3 floored it down a slip road and I tried to keep up in the VTS......I was about halfway down the slip-road when he was on the bypass and heading down the outside lane!! I truely love to see fast cars/exotics go even if my car is made to look stupidly slow

I think you've posted in the wrong thread mate. But your right I raced a standard VTI at Crail and it transformed my respect for Honda's, it had me for brekkie

saxoboy,I used to think a lot like you that my car was undefeated(Once i owned a 350+bhp scoob) until a Supra kicked my ***. Never think you are undefeated, there will always be another faster car than yours. No matter what you do, no matter how much money you spent.Even if you own a 1000bhp car - There will be someone else with 1000+....One day you will find out, trust me-

ScoobyXXbeast, chill man I know! My whole point is it was a little joke with DW! I've had the car since July, it just so happens that I've only had a handful of events since then and have 'won' (again, not a race but easiest term to use) all of them. If I wanted to get beat I'd just need to go for a run with Theo or Andy F, or nip accross the sea to Fife and get thrashed by John Banks! I look forward to the day something rips away from my scooby as it'll be good fun.

Claudius, where the hell have you been?
Been on the phone with a journalist from a French rally magazine. They want to test my car on a high speed track in France, but only to measure the elasticity / acceleration, not the handling
I'll give it a shot anyway. Will be published in February, but I hope I get an extract from their equipment beforehand.
You guys been alright or what? Missed the banter? LOL
Later

Oh my God I agree with a Claudius post.
I'm going for a sit down and a nice cup of tea, and hope that this soon passes.

Can't really be Claudius as he hasn't told us all how good his Evo is in comparison and that he isn't really French...
But an Evo is also more expensive, so you cannot really compare the two. I obviously stated that in a tongue in cheek kind of way to get a few angry replies and generate some friendly banter with fellow performance car enthusiasts and except for a mod or two, everybody else got that
