I doubt either of those clubs will suffer similarly, as long as they don't unleash a public torrent of abuse if 2-3% of the cars get refused on the grounds of noise regs - regardless of how unfairly the rules are governed....

Another irresponsible sweeping statement .... 2-3% I think not!
Certainly more than that for the Cossies, as Ian has previously said...they will struggle to meet those regs!

Cool

7 cars were refused at Bedford out of 51. Okay, so it's more like 7%, but still not exactly a majority.

Hasn't this been done to death now?

Toys well and truly thrown out, on both sides.

I'm sure those with grievances that they persue away from the scrutiny of scoobynet will no doubt inform us of the results.

And we'll see what happens when the next car club goes to BA.

Nope. I'm sure we can drag the mathematical pedantry out for at least another 10 pages.

And I object to you, or Dave TS, or Deano trying to black flag the people who contributed more here on Imprezas than you ever did, combined
Err, Theo, have I offended you in some way?

I think whatever has happened is irrelevent, the outcome is that the SIDC are no longer welcome at Bedford. That is sad, and one of the main reasons for the ban is because of some people's comments (FACT) on the original thread.

I perfectly understand where JP is coming from, and I am embarrassed to be an SIDC member right now because of some of the childish comments.

I would also (as always) give my support for Lee, Lisa and Pete and the rest of the SIDC committee who as always are on a hiding to nothing.

Still, as for the ban, none so blind as those that cannot see

Cant belive it............no-one blamed me for anything this time.
Look it is a shame it has come to this but I think that a lot of the points made by those pesky folk such as Craig and John are indeed very true.
It seemed clear to me when the day was cancelled that things were not all that smooth between Palmersport and the SIDC.
If this is the way it has to be at Bedford then better of with this outcome.
I do feel for the SIDC as I know that a lot of effort go`s into organising a club. I am not a member and will never be after this fiasco but I dont actually blame the club.
You can all still enjoy the circuit just book up with another organisation.
Thats all I will do.
It is an amazing facility thats handy for me as its just up the road.
I think a few Scoobynet members do take this BBS thing a little too seriousley and I think I have mentioned this before.
I`m sure JP just wants to run hassle free track days as its a buisness after all.
The BMW days that I have attended have all run very smoothly with no noise issues. I might also add that a lot of the cars have been noisey.
I think just mentioning Subaru perhaps springs up the caution banner.
Sleep well and remember dont have nightmares.

I did. But you must have missed it.
It seemed clear to me when the day was cancelled that things were not all that smooth between Palmersport and the SIDC.
Au contrair. Things were very smooth - SIDC/JP negotiated a special deal in order to save the day from a low turnout, meaning that it could still go ahead - beneficial to the club, the members and Palmersport.
I am not a member and will never be after this fiasco but I dont actually blame the club.
Oh, that's big of you. Frankly, a good chunk of the problem was your ridiculous moaning about not getting a refund because you couldn't get to the track day with a car.

With regards to SIDC not being welocme 'cos of some of the comments made on Scoobynet - by non SIDC members by the looks of things.

Oh perleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease.

Is almost like being in a school playground - say something someone doesn't like and "you're not my friend anymore"

LOL. Is pathetic.

MarkO,

Slightly off topic, but have you ever or do you ever intend to go on trackdays?

Just wondering if you're the sort of person that never goes, has no intention of going but still likes to comment as if you've been hard done by?

Mark yo are a stereo typical Subaru driver thats if you actually have one and dont just like spending all your hopeless hours typing pathetic comments such as the last post.
I actually did still go you muppet.
You wernt there so what gives you the right to comment.
The track day was a no loss and no loose situation for the SIDC.
With thanks to me and many others who were really looking forward to the day it went ahead.
Of course it needed Lee and Lisa to sort it out but they needed the backing of this board to substantiate that there were enough cars to make it happen.
The board...........yes thats the members and true enthusiast not pretend Colin McRae`s like yourself that made it happen.
So I say again BO11OX!!!
PS I could have gone to the cinema a feckin lot for £175 and would have known a lot longer than the day before if I was going to a concert and would have a chance to sell my tickets on.
****!

It was a figure of speech.
Ok so if a group of Impreza drivers book Bedford JP is going to let us in then even if we are not SIDC members, I think not

I have to agree with what JF & The Rainman have said BUT if this Palmer Bloke doesn't want your buisness thats his decision. Its just like being banned from the Arcades when you were younger I think I still am. Changing the rules on the day isn't right but its his track so don't go back if you have a prob with it! And Mark O(wen) Go and join another Boy Band instead of stirring up this lot!

MarkO

Would you like to clarify this?

"....that all their hard work in organising this day has been ruined by the actions of a few pathetic individuals."

?

Would you please point me to exactly WHO is blaming SIDC for this? Please?

The day was ruined. Wasn't just for the organisers though. Personally I think the way Bedford has handled this and the onus placed on SIDC is disgusting - and yes I have made this point as well.

You haven't answered my post about whether you do actually, actively participate in trackdays?

You weren't there. Pete was only there till about 11. Didn't see Lee or Lisa so how on earth can you constructively comment on what did and didn't go on and what the attitudes of Bedford staff etc were like? and what the reasons were for the day being such a mess. The real reasons that is, not defensive flippant versions

You can't. Simple.

Well, may I respectfully suggest as you weren't there to witness the fiasco - you butt out - you are very close to making a total a$$ of yourself

Just about to hand over 10k for a Corporate event in March.

I'm going to see if I can cancel it now.
