yes, i own the box. I was one of the mugs that baught it outright, before Murdoch started giving away digital satelite boxes for free. When he did that ITV-Digital gave them away free too, which was the first nail in the coffin.
The price you pay for taking up new technology.

Is it just me, or is the new chanel listing utter $hite. No sports chanels like eurosport.

For those worried about credit black listing, as long as you make it clear that you dispute their claim to the box (you would need to do this in writing), there is only one way they can black list you and that is through a county court judgement (CCJ). In this case it would require them to make a claim through the small claims court, and if you get a summons through, you can just agree to return the box or pay. Follow this route and you can drag it out for as long as possible without having to pay and without risk of credit rating damage. Not that I would condone that sort of behaviour of course

(PS legal disclaimer: all advice in this post is probably a waste of your surfing time and anyone foolish enough to follow the above course of action does so entirely at their own risk )

I thought the "class action" was a yank thing? Haven't heard of it applied over here, but then my legal expertise knows no beginning so I wouldn't listen to anything I say!

If I got a summons through about attending the small claims court, I'd turn up and argue the case, having put the box in the boot of the car. All it would cost me is time and if/when I lost I be able to hand over the box, having cost them a lot more money than the box is worth.

I'd also consider issuing a summons myself for the cost of storing the box, again in the small claims court, as that way I'd only have my own costs (my time) to bear.

If everyone did this the whole procedure woukld soon come to a halt!

Chris
