IMHO, the only thing that IM are trying to do is to not get screwed.
Everything leads to them just wanting common sense and fairness applied... eg: individual cases will be taken on merit, track days won't necessarily invalidate warranty, etc, etc.
I don't know of any case where a warranty claim has been rejected on a false accusation that the car had been abused on track. If anyone knows of that, please post it here... BUT...
if you secretly know that you did indeed give your car a spanking which then led to the claim, please don't post it here, even if you "tried it on" at the dealers
