John's big ring adventure

Something tells me a combination of cameras, mounting, driving hard, and a big ring is never going to lead to a sensible name.

Cool

John, I'd like to ask *very nicely* for a non-VHS format - and I'm sure there are many out there who also prefer higher quality. Worst case, a DiVX-encoded data file would be well preferable to a VHS tape.

Not sure what you mean about 'mega money' to do DVD but I know for a fact that a DVD burner may be had for as little as £149+VAT and that DVD blank disks are well under £1 each - someone on here gets them for 25p IIRC. Was it a question of time, so that you'd have to get them burned in bulk by a replication service? I bet there are people on here who'd volunteer effort to replicate it! I don't yet have a DVD burner myself, but if the taxman allows I may get one in a couple of weeks time - meanwhile I can produce VCD2.0, SVCD and XSVCD to order. Can I help you?

Dissapointed at the DVD prospects, whilst I actually have a DVD burner, I takes almost twice real time at full res to burn them so it is totally impractical for a big run. The DVD pros want £650 for the first one in Pal and then a run of 50 copies would be £20 each. Even if I could halve the above prices somewhere I think VHS, dont you? And would whoever asked for a Betamax copy and some other rare Albanian video encoding format kindly get their coats!

Current fav titles -

Nurburgring: The STi RA Footage

JF's ringSTIng

Ringmeister

Lord of the Ring

Taking it (fel)STEADY at the Ring

Nurburgring: The STi RA Footage

Waddaya think J? Ohh and if anyone mentions bottoms again I’ll scream LOL

some great suggestions, and some ones too. LOL

I like the sound of this one, sort of a mix of two ideas so far.

1 Impreza, 13.5 miles, 172 corners

.......and a full tank of fuel

Nurburgring: The WRX STi5 Type RA Footage

Production details are all down to Diesel, he is the creative guy, i am just the nut behind the wheel. Betamax. LOL

Well it rhymes at least and isn't about bottoms.
