Got mine yesterday. I enjoyed it too.
Our lines in to Adenau forst and Plantzgarden1 in particular are different, not by much, but enough.
Who were your passengers, I recognise Jon Reeves voice?
I like you editing for the Ferrari

Thanks chaps.
There will be some areas we use slightly diferent lines, just through driving style preferences, AF is one you can use a few diferent ideas on entry depending on how much speed you carry up the hill and what car you are driving, some people dont use the curb on the left just before AF, i didnt in the westfield because it unsettled the car, but the Impreza soaked that up nicely. I find the tricky part to PF1 is forcing myself to stay to the right on the rundown to PF1 after eiscurve for long enough, as your natural instinct is to drift left too earlier which compromises your speed into the jump. The exit you have to get pretty much spot on to carry a lot of speed otherwise you can find yourself doing a wall of death impresion on the outside as its very low grip there with lots of debris on the track normally.
The editing for the horn was Diesels idea.
On the T13 barriers, they are used when the modern race circuit is in operation for a race meeting, as part of T13 shares the barrier with the other circuit so they use the T13 straight as a buffer for safety. What i am driving down there is the old pit lane, that is the point they used to start the tourist laps before building the modern toll booth entry point now in use. If you go to Ben Lovejoys website following the link in the DVD insert you should be able to find some photo's of the old start/finish hut.
The second instruction lap shows you the way through T13 when it is open, the first graphical lap shows you through the pits bypass when it is closed.
I was there one weekend when a biker went flying through the tyre barrier used to close T13 because he rode at full speed without doing a sighting lap and by the time he realised it was closed off it was too late.

I've now watched my copy
Must admit it's very good indeed, and well worth the money, especailly if you are ever planning to head off to the ring.
The first lap gives you an idea of the general layout of the track, whilst the second goes into lots of detail about corners, entry points, braking points, bits to watch out for etc. Something you could watch many times over.
The bonus laps are great as well, showing you the circuit from many different camera angles. It's not until you watch the rear view that you realise just how steep some of the inclines are, and just how fast you are going in some places.
If you ever want to go over there, or even just get a feeling for what it's like to drive the circuit at speed, then this DVD is highly recommended, as it's just the job. The hints and tips on lines, braking points etc would take you dozens of laps (ie hundreds of pounds) to learn yourself, so superb value for money in that respect.
Even if you don't plan a visit to the Ring, then it's great to watch a well driven Impreza catch and overtake many high performance cars and bikes around the track - the speed differential at times is quite surprising, especially with more humble road cars and vans sharing the track!
It will make an excellent Xmas present to yourself, so go ahead and order your copy now, before the first batch sells out
