Yeah, i have a set of mint 16's on the car ATM and was hoping to sell them as i have got a set of 18's coming, i wanted to pick up a set of 15's as p/x to use for drag runs....
Oh well..
Anyway, a couple more friends are driving up with me now...
Ali G Black R5 turbo
J in his pulsar
John in his Golf
And Jason in his 3rd gen single Turbo RX7....
J was hoping his mate could come in his R32, but he is still awaiting his £5k turbo

Should be an excellent day if the weather is good, reading through the other jap boards there are loads of cars going!!!

Lol, the bigger the wheels the slower the launch and acceleration..but higher top speeds, this is due to a larger circumference..
Rob
Cant think of a 'laymans terms' way of explaining it.. :S

Red face

surely if u have bigger alloys with lower profile tyres thou the rolling circumference remains the same as it shud do 2 remain correct on the speedo from the way u word that is like yer actually not guna have any lower profile tyres & thus speedo will read incorrect ?
Am i still missin sumin?

which is y bigger alloys have a better turn in with a worse ride as less flex in the sidewall of tyre when low profile surely no point in doing 18"ers at all if yer keeping a not relatively lower profile as all that will do is as u say increase top speed slow acceleration & weigh a damn site more?

I am not too bothered about weight and yes my speedo will under read..
STD wrx impreza's come with 15" A couple of guys on this board are running 19" wheels, what you are saying is that they have got to lose 4" of tyre sidewall to keep the Right rolling circumference??
IIRC 15"wheels run 45 profile tyres, this would mean that 19" wheels would need -7 profile tyres

I'm not looking to make the car faster by fitting the wheels just make it look 100 times better than it does now
