"STD wrx impreza's come with 15" A couple of guys on this board are running 19" wheels, what you are saying is that they have got to lose 4" of tyre sidewall to "
Surely you mean 2" of sidewall.
19" will be slower, they wont give you a better top speed either... unless of course you hot the limiter in 5th.
smaller wheel are better at pod, they lower your gear ratio slightly and are lighter (effectively like lightening your flywheel slightly) also the deeper sidewall allow for more flex and less likely to break traction. Problem is that most 15" tyres people use have the crappest tyres ever on and compare them to their £250 a piece 18" tyres.
A nice set of 15" Yoko A539 are ideal for pod IMO

Is it worth the trip down?
I always go to the Ultimate Street Car. Obviously it won't be as packed with stuff as that is, but is it anywhere near or just a few cars running up the strip?

VTEC, you know what i meant!!
Can you explain how a wheel/tyre with a larger radius would not increase top speed?? as each revolution of the wheel covers more distance than the smaller wheels the top speed will be higher..
I seem to be doing alright on **** tyres at The Pod
deffo wont be running on big tyres on the 26th, and the good news is that my car will be sorted tomorrow...
Roll on the 26th.
