RichMilly and ScoobyDoo555.
Because of you two, I've been locked to Colin McRae for hours on end.
I first tried the stage and got 2:40...impossible I thought..to get your times.
I was down to 2:22.99 yesterday, and this morning got 2:17.43.
Not content with that as I knew I could go quicker..and so stopped the clock on 2:17.39, and I cocked up the last corner.
It took me ages to figure out where I was losing the last few secs, but then held the throttle wide open through a certain chicane and hey presto !!
The first time was in a Scoob, the second in the Focus WRC02.
I have photos to prove if necessary..
AND..I reckon a 2:16 is possible, provided cramp doesn't set in
Tony

I give up, before divorce arrives !!
Still reckon I could shave a couple of tenths of that score..have piccies to prove I did it if required...and blisters on my hands..

Well done Tony!!!
I gave up after Wifey started causing grief!!!!
I get round it by going out in my Scoob instead of playing the game much better experience (less blisters too!!!)
Might have a bash in a couple of weeks (got a holiday coming up)
Again, well done
Dan

Dan,
You must have cocked up the last sector (4) then?
I can only do the above time (or get anywhere near it) with the Focus WRC 02...in the scoob I keep losing it through the tight bends

Damn you all... I've got a PC and loved CMR2, but apparently we have to wait until May before no.3 comes out. Can't wait though. I got pretty decent at the greek stages in particular there.
Anyone lend me a PS2/Xbox? Didn't think so...
We could have a games meet!

ScoobyDoo555,
I spent 4 hours last night doing Stage 3....
Final time was 2:12:53.
The annoying thing is that I still cocked up the 3rd sector through the houses
I'm giving up on this stage now, as it is almost impossible to beat this time. I end up restarting if I don't get to the first sector within a couple of tenths, as it's now near impossible to get the time back elsewhere.
I have the split times at home if you would like me to post them for you to aim at...then again I wouldn't recommend it as your eyes go wobbly after 4 hours!!!
Dan, is there a way to delete stage times? I haven't had a look...too busy trying to do ultra quick starts...2-3000rpm as the clock goes to 0 and then into 2nd gear quickly before wheelspin!!
Tony
Edited to say this time was in the Scoob..445..nothing else got close..naturally !!

I remembered this thread and thought I'd have a go at the times...
Hmm guess I need some practice then
Did I miss a shortcut or something

I've thrashed my previous best, but didn't post it as I thought everyone had lost interest..
I used the RS200 which goes like stink but is pretty useless round corners...but..I got down to about 2:06 ish from memory...via flickering the throttle through corners..which stops you going completely sideways in tyre smoke.
I think I'll have to order CMR3 for my PC and see if it's the same..now where did I put my steering wheel with gear lever and pedals?
