If you want to save the icon, with your mouse, right click on it and then 'save as'. To use the icons on the bbs, they must be on a web server somewhere...by right clicking on the icon and checking the properties you will see that the location of the icon is a web address.

If you want a non-animated smilie, use any graphics package.....

but for animated gifs, I use Macromedia Fireworks....but I'm sure there are many others...maybe even one specifically for producing smilies

As an easier route, edit the post, highlight the url (inc IMG etc) & copy, then paste into your message

If you are quite sad (like me ) then paste into a text file on your PC/MAC etc & save. Then you can come & lift at will
