Quite enjoyed Friends in the early days, now just a bit trite and not very funny - IMHO
Now Frazier thats a different matter, just gets better and better!

zero,
you arent alone! IMHO its not funny, Ive tried watching it but to no avail, the audience are laughing when nothing has happened! but hey each to their own.
If anything is sh1te its harry hill, the unfunniest man in TV history (IMVHO!!!!!)

Zoog,
Wouldn't want to question your sexuality but, are you kidding ?
Look at a video of series 2 of Friends when Rachel was working in the Central Perk cafe and insisted upon wearing tight white tops and skirts the likes which were wonderfully described by Reeves and Mortimer on Shooting Stars as "Roughly six inches below m***e base" - WOWWW !!!!
Must admit she's nothing like as nice now, but I think most people still would !!!
Friends lost its was really mid-way through series 2. The first series was the best sitcom on telly by miles...after that ideas ran short and salaries went sky-high and the program suffered... I used to love it but got bored after about series 4... its really hit and miss and they should have quit a few series ago whilst they were ahead...

Friends, Frasier etc are absolute crap, HOWEVER, when they are on I say to the wife and kids ' if you are watching this I am going out for a beer' so, actually, they are friggin great!!!!!!!!

Different Strokes- Bad???? "whatchu talkin 'bout" - Different Strokes was utter class- a postmodern ironic look at political correctness (2 black homeboys go to live with rich ugly bald American businessman and freakish brace ridden daughter) and race integration. It was a delicious parody of the percieved differences between race and class presented in the form of a trashy exploitative ratings winning sitcom.
Plus it featured the freakishly short Gary Coleman who later became a real life security guard and was forever immortalised in that guise in an episode of "The Simpsons"- the other actor Todd Bridges went on to be a drug addict and convicted felon! ( a similarly sleazy fate awaits all ex-sitcom stars in the US when fame declines- FRIENDS cast be WARNED!!!)

Can't say as I find Friends at all appealing. I've watched a few episodes in case the last one I watched was just a bad one
and always ended up feeling like I've just wasted half an hour. ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
It probably was good for the first series, but now that they are nigh on pensionable age and still claiming to live in a studio appt all happy har it's getting a little wearing.
Even the actors themselves keep trying to pull out of doing yet another series, except the lure of cash hooks 'em back in...![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
