I had one when I was 21 (three years ago). Cost £1400 fully comp up to £15k in value IIRC

love the idea of using him as human armco! but try this, strap an iron to his face and switch it on, watch it heat up and melt into his skull, just a thought.

This has got to be the best thread on Scoobynet for a while, good work lads. Nice to give the low life scum the treatment they deserve

Shame you didn't have a video camera in the car, would have been a lot better viewing than that cr@ppy "Police, Camera, Action" on Sky!!!

Just remember the git could have you for all sorts, a car is one thing but GBH is another, four guys round our way caught a guy messing with their done up Capri (ten years ago) and proceeded to stamp on his legs using the kerb as leverage, smashed both his legs and they went to prison, good work but remember to keep it sane.

True.

A few swift slaps around the head, coupled with some hard body blows with a pillow over one's fist to reduce bruising would suffice IMO.

Good to see a result, but lets face it 'Its a car crime'. I would be surprised if the police even bother to go after him. The car was recovered and the local constabulary didn't even break wind. Anyone who thinks that the police are looking out for our better interests in our cars or there to protect our 4 wheeled assets are fooling themselves. The police only have one brief where we are concerned. Find the speeders and book them. He didn't own the car and thus can't be nicked by a speed camera.
Sorry to be so negative on such a positive thread, but I think that a good proportion of law enforement officers are self serving ***** who won't want the paperwork from a case which repair bill won't even cover the average excess on a cossie's insurance poicy. Isn't it a shame that if the coppers were doing the job properly which we pay a vast amount of tax for wouldn't it have been them who caught the ******.

Find out where he lives and pay him a visit. Rough justice (a guaranteed result)

Ash

Won't matter what he's done, he's unlikely to go away. Look at that scumbag who killed that 6 year old girl He'd done it b4, FFS, and only got a year for that. Probably out in 7 months, to do it AGAIN.
Time the courts took car crime seriously, or vigilantes took over.:
I see the government were quick to bring in legislation over guns, recently, and knives, in the past, but car-jacking? Other car crime? Forget it, it's a victimless crime apparently. I was told that by a confessed car thief, some years ago, who was told it by his social worker
Try telling it to the mate of mine who had his car stolen from the carpark of Leeds' "Jimmy's" hospital, where he was visiting his wife who was dying of cancer! He wasn't able to go for three days!
"Soft on crime, and softer on the causes of crime" The new New Labour motto.
At least it's one they CAN live up to, and can achieve the target!!!:

If you want to send invitations out for the public kicking please make sure I get one. All thieving B******S should be given over to the victim and they should then administer their own justice. I think in this case he should be tied to the towing bracket and dragged at high speed for 50 miles (minimum) before the public kicking!!!!

The only people who cuss the Police like you lot do......are those who do not have any contact with them in any other situations.

In my opinion you are all taking a very narrow minded view of Policing, and if any of you had any clue of what most police officers are like you might be able to remove your heads from the orifices they are stuck in.

Im sick of the negative attitude we recieve on here as to be honest the only contact most of you have is if you get stopped breaking the law and then you whine about how you are treated!!!!!!!

FFS if you are that bothered then keep within the law..

If you asked any Police officer if they were happy about the way our service is run the resounding answer would be NO.

it is not our fault and we do not agree with a lot of what we are expected to do.

However society without rules would be complete anarchy, and we believe in catching criminals as much as you want us to. Its just not our fault that the restrictions we face are insurmountable.

I know that almost every Police officer i know has been injured trying to keep the REAL criminals at bay and yet you still say that we dont care.

Im completely sick of the attitude that has arisen on this site as i know that the other Police officers are and there are all too many threads just bashing us.....

Have a complaint??????? go to your MP and get the laws for conviction changed, as that governs how we work......if we know someone is not going to be convicted whatever we do why the hell are we gonna bother with the paperwork.

We do all we can and yes there are ******** out there but most of us 99% do the job for a reason and hate the way things are as much as you do....

Go speak to any copper on the streets and you'll get the same response.

Im done.

Bye

It wasnt meant to be a thread about the police and how good/bad they are.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and people that are stopped and treated badly by the police will air their views.

For example I was arrested for walking in front of a police car, obstructing a police officer. I was treated like a bank robber, threatened by the arresting officer, and I mean threatened, oh yes and locked up for 8 hours.

Now, how much of a threat was I? I am 24, never been in trouble with the police, I have a respectable job, house, car, etc...

How many people were raped, mugged, robbed, killed, in the 8 hours it took to deal with me..

Respect is something that you have to earn with me, If a copper is ok with me, then I am ok with them, pass my attitude test, and i`ll pass yours.

Finally, The thread was meant to give people a bit of good news, instead of all the stolen cars that get get burnt out, or hijackings etc. We feel like heroes, and just wanted to pass this true story on.

gaz (i didnt ram him, but I was there!!!)
(sorry i get a bit carried away.)

Hi All

I'm locking this thread now due to complaints and the fact that it's content leaves a little to be desired in some places.

The cheeky b@stards have had it for two days, and they had the nerve to drive it past the end of his street. A mate in an XR3i infront of us followed him at a safe distance, saw him pulling in to a cul de sac, and next thing my mate was pushing him down the road. he tried to turn round over a lawn and he got rammed again, Stalled it.. and legged it.

Unfortunately, he was recognised, and he dropped his mobile with his Home phone number

Wouldn't like to be him tonight , apparently he tried selling it to someone who knows us all well.

Contacts have also revealed where he is hiding right now, and a number of our *Larger* mates are going to discuss his error with him.

At least the cars back. Traders policy, so they wouldn't pay out. Just need a new cossie bumper and one for an XR3i too

Avi

PS.. the police loved the ramming bit
