Frenchie,
thank you, but that isnt the colour I'm looking for; it also isnt the M3 colour I was referring to. I have owned an M3 in the colour I am talking about in the past, but I cannot remember what it was called! Damn. Just wont come back to me...
naturbo, thank you so much!
Have you noticed how different the colour looks inside and outside?
Check out the pics posted by doug seiv, the one in the garage looks so different from the one taken outside!
I think I saw a reddish blue, highly polished scooby in the sunlight once. Very nice.

naturbo,
Look at the pic Dean posted and your own car! It looks like a totally different colour!
I'm confused
Is this just a matter of light intensity that causes such HUGE differences in colour perception / pic outcome??

Up for sale!
Piccy was just after the big one last summer. With only Turtle Wax, that's a lot of waxing .
PS - yep when the Sun's out, the colour is awesome (must be the red bits)

Why hasnt anybody bought your car yet? It's really nice and quite cheap! Put £3000 worth of an IHI 18G BC an FC on there and you lose all the STIs, P1s et al. Maybe you should do that?

Was tracking a supercharger thread on rs25 - that with a FMIC = a nice torquey 200bhp in a no-scoop package
spot of nitrous and who'd know
But then try and insure the thing - new MY03 WRX is on the way...

Ooops seems I went out for a beer at a critical time last night .
My car is definitely sonic blue (so name after sonic the hedgehog, probably ).
I went into halfords looking for some spray to do the ornage wedges under the front indicators and I told the guy it was sonic blue and Subaru dont make sonic blue. So I told him it was 74F according to the VIN plate and he said thats coming up Subaru "new rally blue". So I got it and it was a perfect match, well as good as you can get out of a spray can.
AFAIK the P1 was sonic blue, the 22B was sonic blue, the terzo was sonic blue and my RA is sonic blue. Just need a P1 owner to flick their bonnet and check the VIN plate for the paint code but I would put money on it being 74F.
The rims on mine are 18" Speedline GT1 Lites with 215x35x18 spray on rubber .
Are you sure it wasnt like my old MY98 scooby it was suppose to be reddish blue on the order
...and turned up as reddish red as they stopped the colour in 1998 .

Thats sonic blue colour code 74F same as P1, 22B, Terzo, and quite a few imports (like mine ) and also a popular EU colour. The colour is also known as "new rally blue" but still 74F
Mine is sonic blue 74F

There's this colour (picture nicked from Members' Gallery), but it's more of a peppermint green:
And there's also "Cool Grey" which is sometimes called Steel Blue:

I must say that my car is Sonic Blue, and when I got the pics of it from the seller, it looked a lot lighter than all of the pics I had seen of P1's
And even looked lighter in the braod daylight, than the P1 I test drove
here's a pic that I first saw of mine before buying
Now look at the P1 pic (same colour just different light)
