I ran low 14's in my old R5, couldnt launch it well though..

You aint wrong, i made quite a business out of changing head gaskets and set up an acct. with a local workshop for head skimming..
The final disaster for my R5 was when one of the spark plugs blew out of the head on the R/road and made a nice big dent in my bonnet.

Stefs car was pretty quick but it had a prodrive chip in it and it was a MY98. Also full decat, uprated clutch, induction kit and FMIC and ap brakes amongst other bits and peices.
