Ben, thats not the issue here 
Personally, I agree with what you are saying, but reference to groups of people of different cultural, ethnic or social backgrounds can still be made without resorting to offensive terms.

But Now I want to make a serious complaint about how we are been treated.
1. look at all the slagging off was made towards Muslims etc after sept 11
2. All the terrible things you allowed to be said about Jade from big brother.
What happened to the moderators then???
So lets have a vote..... Most of us refer to pikeys as the type of gypsy who ripps off everyone.Steals ,causes havoc,doesnt pay tax
gives nothing and takes everything from our society. Do these people deserve any respect.

And so do a lot of Asians, those of African descent, Pakistani's, Indians, Scottish, English, Irish and Welsh to name but a few.
Doesn't mean we can start to use a plethora of terms with racial or offensive overtones now does it?

This is totally pathetic. My family are Italian and I get called WOP. I have references to the Italians being 'yellow' during the war etc. SO F*CKING WHAT????!!!! I'm secure enough and confident enough in myself to deal with it. Whoever complained about being refered to as a PIKEY ought to GROW UP or P*SS OFF FFS! Over sensitivity and political correctness is ruining this website and this bloody country.
