I can understand the plane load of Afghans claiming asylum when they were diverted here in 2000 during their hijacking at Stansted. This was the first country they set foot in after their release, and were living under Taliban regime.
What I find hard to live with is that an 'asylum seeker' should claim the said 'asylum' in the first safe country they set foot in, not travel another 2000 miles across Europe through 4 or 5 safe countries to claim asylum here. I don't understand how the term can be given to them. They are econimic migrants, no more, no less.
I for one are not happy of the burden they are imposing on all of us tax payers. Its hard enough bringing up a family in this country without bringing up someone elses.
As for the single mothers sponging off the state, I don't agree with that either but they were born here and have the basic rights all citizens in this country have.

Its also a very well known fact that people who are unable to tolerate other people from different cultures are of a lower IQ. No buck, by your logic every asylum seekers are treated better. Yet 90% of them are still stuck in the detention centre. And if i'm not mistaken, most of the refugees are Albanians and Africans..

Comparing single mum on benefit to legal/illegal immigrants is risky. We all pay national insurance for the good of the wider community. This includes supporting single mums, disabled or unable to work, lifelong unemployed, etc etc. The fact is that although the single mum in question may never have paid NI in her life, chances are her mother/father/brother etc will have.
The benefit system is overloaded enough as it is without piling on immigrants as well. Will an immigrant see fit to pay NI? No. Can't pay NI unless you have an NI number.

I think that the simple fact is that we are all viewed as slaves by the money-makers of this world
face it people, what ever your colour or religion they do not care as long as you work hard for them and if it means importing new genes to the local slaves genepool then they will do it and dress it up in what ever way will fool the less intelligent of this world.
We are not free we are all slaves of the TV and commercialism GODS lol
Society is in the mess it is in because we are mainly fighting among ourselves for a few crumbs and not fighting the ones that are in control of it and who siphon or embezzle money away at a rate that you would not believe.
Do people really think that when all the empty shells are counted from this war that is about to happen, that the number will not be increased so that a fat cat that owns munitions companies owned by parent companies that are set up in off shore trusts owned by some other company that is then owned by a charity with some person in government being a trustee of said charitable organisation and getting a large payment for fund raising work.
This is what being in government is about I tell you! it is to make money, apart from the odd "principals" candidate who no doubt gets overwhelmed with the temptations that are on offer for being in the club.

Make no mistakes people this country is going to end up going the same way as the former Balkan states it may not happen in our life time but at the rate that we are taking in asylum seekers it is scary to think what this country will be like when I come to retire. Now give it 5 years and think how many people that would be in the UK demanding that we change our main language from English or whatever else they desire. If you guys can read behind the lines of the post them you'll understand. Some things I can't tolerate. I've seen a Nigerian guy getting beaten up by 5 white guys for no reason. And if some of you can recall from last year, I was also a victim of this sort of thing.
They're justification? I'm living in the wrong neighbourhood and should've stuck with my own kind. F*ck them lot..

3 of my friends were beaten up by 16 Indian guys for no reason. One of them now has permanent brain damage.
Their justification? My mates are racist. And they know that how? I for one have no idea as there was no dialogue exchanged before the attack.

The point is (surely) that economic migrants will simply make this sort of thing more likely, not less. Most of them hate each other FFS. They are also importing values that are different to ours - slave trade prostitution, gun running, ruthless turf wars, people smuggling etc.

To many arguments mixed in the pot, people have to be able to see what it is that they disagree with and why, if they can not articulate their point of view in a constructive manner then they are automatically put down as being a bigot or racist.
