Jerome, that's a bit of genius that is.

Hang on - what are you doing reading the Telegraph. You are now hereby considered posh.

Jerome, that's a nice clue, and yes, the answer is pretty standard Telegraph fare.

But these fekkers are annoying me!!

Not only do we not have an answer to number 4, we don't have number 3 either.

Anybody?

Sure we have number 3 - isn't what that whole wine glass thing was all about?

Avril,

Posh! I ain't never bin akewsed ovvat befaw!!!

TelBoy,

It is indeed standard Telegraph fare. Keeps me occupied whilst using the wonderful Underground.

I'm going nuts about clue 4 as well. I can normally finish the entire Telegraph crossword in the time I've devoted to these clues.

As for Schooner, I'm fairly certain it's correct. A schooner is a sherry (fortified wine) glass and also a mode of transport (a 2 masted ship).

Exclamation

Jerome,

Nope, don't think we have.

I'm totally comfortable with the fact that Schooner has two meanings, but the clue says "wine glass", and makes no inference to a mode of transport, therefore schooner only makes sense on one level.

Or am i missing something?

Telboy, one of the clues was 'Chocolate Shaver' (aeroplane). Makes as much sense as wine glass if you ask me...

No. 4 is really starting to get on my ***s.

Merkin - the answers are transport/vehicle-related. But you could be onto something. Could be some sort of bIKE?

TelBoy,

Way, way back at the beginning of the thread, the following was mentioned:-

"All the answers are moving/vehicle-related"

merkin,

If right, that would be taking crossword "artistic licence" to a whole new plane.

Merkin - your brain obviously isn't that pealike. Anything else about your person that you think is small but actually isn't? :P

Edited to ask why my smilies aren't working.
