Hiya mate
P1? Hmmmm nice 2 door coupe - Carjacking target though I would say? would you worry each and every time you left it or drove it? Haven't cars that look like the P1 had their day? (style wise I mean)?
A nice RB5 and have change? + 4 proper doors!
If its a P1 Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese make sure its got Anthracite wheels - just like Subaru intended! NOT tacky crappy Golds NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, criminal offence - on a P1?!?!
All IMHO of course!!

A tricky dilemma and I am not sure by asking the question to everyone here you will make it easier for yourself to choose. My opinion on it is as follows :-
Head says WRX , Heart says P1. If I had to make the choice I would say that I didn't have the ***** to go for the P1 and I would choose the 03 WRX ? Why ? well for many reasons :- Comfort, Warranty peace of mind, Less of a hijack target, not so 'in yer face', Driving Licence issues with the speed of a P1, Fuel Consumption. I think if I let my heart rule my head then although having alot of fun, I would look back and say I wished I had chosen the WRX.
At the end of the day, you pays your money and you takes your choice! Whichever you choose you are getting a cracking motor!

p1 every time its not the greatest impreza ever the 22b must take that award but only 1000 made so a bit special.cat 1 blackjax and satellite tracking, how far will the car go and with a bit of sensible tuning 350bhp is fairly straightforward if u can afford to buy it u can afford to run it

With regards to the suspension being too harsh, I don't think thats true at all. The engineers at dealerships in my opinion don't get to go in many P1's so can't give a good recommendation (maybe yours is an exception)
Prodrive sorted the suspension on the P1 specifically with a and b UK roads in mind. I feel the car is the perfect balance of stiffness, yet not too crashy. I've been driving mine for 2 years and have had two turbos before and lengthy test drives in a wrx.
Drive the P1 and see what you think. drive mine every day over a / b / and motorway roads. Seats are fantastic so hold you in well and the ride is fine on all surfaces at any speed.
Have a go, you won't be disappointed

The thing is you can now pick up sti type uk for 22 grand and if you get the ppp for it then it will be as quick if not slightly quicker then the P1. I really love the p1 though so I wouldn't know what to do either. I don't face this decision for another year and a half but am already thinking about these things but I'm just going to sit back and see what you guys do.
