'As has been mentioned...Who would you turn to when you are burgled, attacked e.t.c......? hmmm let me guess....'
Well one of our sister companies was broke into and the burglers were caught in the act stealing PC's by the security gaurd on CCTV. So he rang the Police. The phone rang and rang but to there was no answer, he gave up after 17mins FFS!!! He decided to set the fire alarm off and this scared them off. Fire engines never showed up either (it was on the night of the fire strike).
So as to who you turn to 'I'll be $ucked if I know?'
This country is just going to a complete pile of $hite.
Damian.

When I had a car accident at 17, 3 police cars turned up....
When I got home late one night and was thought to be a burgular 4 police cars turned up
Routine stop for car checking
When I was under an "arresting interview" 2 policeman turned up
When I had a loud exhaust a car spent 4 days waiting for me
When I was arrested in a high street after copious amounts of booze with limited if any attire on - I got a forensic suit
My experiences with the Police has always been favourable. Over zealous on occasions but on the whole the boys in blue were polite, efficient and were only carrying out their jobs.
The 2 detectives that interviewed me however were complet £££££££££££ but my trusty solicitor dealt with them in 5 minutes and I even got an apology.....(I didn't open my mouth once!!)

If I'd been burgarled etc yes, I'd call the Feds but then who else is there to call? I'd opt out in a flash if there was alternative.

surely the stereotypical van driver involved was concentrating on his turn and not listening to his radio, using his mobile or eating breakfast when along comes plod and overtakes at the very same time van driver turns coz he hasn't looked in his mirror! another pc has been condemmed without the facts of the case-i would hate to think how you would all feel if police dealt with you without the facts. isn't it about time police began to critisize other occupations on this site? no, because we know very little about what you do!

Snarly, exactly mate! The officer should of been aware that the van could of turned, afterall he did have his indicator on!! If he'd of just waited and not gone for the overtake, he wouldn't of finished up in a garden! Let's compare the times here, a couple of seconds whilst the van clears the road or, a couple of hours whilst the car is towed from a garden, hmm, tough call that one
As you rightly point out it's very easy to just assume things and accuse people of things, this is exactly what I've had done to me by the Ploice as have my brother and numerous friends, it goes both ways!
