Raffle tickets for my 200Sx
#33
TBH I'd like the draw to be done independently. How will we know that all 300 tickets or whatever aren't the same, and belong to one of your mates?
Not casting aspersions, but better to get these things out now rather than afterwards -- particularly if one of your mates does happen to win

Can you put me down for 4 tickets also please.
Have to say that this is by far the must interesting way to sell a car I've seen in a long time Well done to you sir! Certainly beats the "£10k o.n.o..." "I'll give you £3.50 and a packet of crisps" garbage that's always on the go.
Cheers
Mike

Carl I understand your concern and also appreciate any fedback I get. The other thing I plan to do on he day is show a brand new book of raffles complete with all the numbers and let someone else infront of the crowd put them in the box and someone else pull the raffle at random from the crowd.
Trust me I woudnt want my mates to win, Its going to be a fair fun raffle. Also I wont have any involvemet in the actuall raffle on the day. Random people will. Tell you what if your there on the day you can help
Cheers, YODI
PS. Thanks for all your support

I doubt I will be there. OK put me down for two tickets (as I said before) -- believe me though, collection of the money will be a nightmare (tying up usernames/e-mail addresses with real people for a start).
As you're in Southgate and I'm in Bishop's Stortford, when I win I'll come down to collect it

btw to my knowledge due to gaming rules it is not legal to raffle a car.
In heathrow airport they do this on 355s etc at £80 a ticket etc. but by law they have to make it a competition so you have to spot the ball etc. Then the answers are placed into a hat etc but only the 100 or so closest to the ball.
dont know how this affects you, just letting you know.
aside from that, good idea.

Adam -- there was one of those '£30 a ticket to win a 355' companies that used to post on here. You could play online, and I don't think there was any element of skill involved.
But then again, they had a gambling license. Maybe the one at Heathrow doesn't?

Aha!
That'll be why the conditions listed on the SXOC thread include:
"For legal reasons I need to ask the winng Raffle holder a question"
What happens if the winner gets it wrong (apart from kicking themselves)?

suggestions for money collection etc...
Mail everybody who had pledged tickets and ask them if they are still game, and to reply to your mail and include a contact phone No.
Give us an addrress to send cheques to - when you receive payment call us personally us to let us know you have recieved it and the cheque has cleared.
I myself will not be going to Santa pod or wherever for the sake of 2 tickets, but there is obviousley a large element of trust here as this raffle would not be too difficult to scam - no offence, but on the same note, I wont be losing any sleep over a tenner.
anyone else?

Hi Mj, thanks for your advice however If I ring everyone over a £5 ticket ill be there all day and not only that but my phone bill would be sky high ringing 150 odd people, what I would do is get everyone to reply with the full name and address and a mobile number and ring them if it doesnt clear but i assume a ten ound cheque will.
