Several years ago in Todmorden me and g/f had 4 blokes in an escort decide that they didn't like our Mini Cooper and overtook us round a blind bend then blocked the road and got out to cause agro.... I just waited for them to get 4 feet away and then just reved the hell out of it, lifted the clutch and went squirming around the road with them flying off in to hedges etc! :-) Job done!

BTW, I used to get the abuse you mentioned every few days in my MX-5. It's just the green eye monster I guess.

Cheers!

Mike

Its just jealousy as they know a crappy 1.3 Fester is the best car they'll ever have!

Its not all bad news tho. I had to ask for directions at a petrol station the other day. The guy clocked the Scoob and said "Lovely Scoob mate" and proceeded to draw a highly detailed map to where I needed to go. Not many cars u get that with

Driving on M4 this afternoon and a white escort rs turbo was giving me grief. Dropping back and then accelerating up to me as we drove down outside lane.
Have been hassled by this moron a few times before in Swansea City centre. He got his just deserts today though cos I wasn't going to kill myself or someone else for his amusement.
I pulled into the slow lane and let him pass, which he did at light speed. The other side of the next junction he was on the hard shoulder with a police volvo T5 sitting behind him. It was difficult not to feel very smug as he watched me drive past at a stately 70mph.
That'll teach him.

Hey y'all - this is all really interestin'. Being from lil' ol' NZ (home of the mammoth Jonah & his GTR Godzilla) we don't usually get all this aggro going on. If anything I get tailgated by boy racers!

Which is really funny cos it's nigh impossible to overtake in Wellington city roads.

Worst bit of aggro I've ever had was in Auckland (where people spend more time in cars than working - traffic's that bad) when I pulled up to some lights and a pasty fat kid next to me (in a tricked out Mazda 323) says "Hey - you gonna DO anything to that car?!?".

So I burned him at the lights and left him and his piddly motor for dead.

I think he slipped a gear trying to keep up! hahahahahah

Some kid threw an egg at my car last year, it actually took the paint off the front wing in a cresent shape. Luckily it was a white car so the grey primer diddnt show up too much - that wasnt even a nice car, it was a Corsa 1.2 run about !!

Must say that I've not had any problems with mine. I live in an inner city area and regularly park in the city. Car is standard looking apart from exhaust. Rarely wash it as it attracts too much attention when its gleaming.

Was gonna buy some 17" for it but will probably give it a miss and keep the car low profile.

Don't really get tw@ts trying to race me (if they are trying to, i Don't notice).

Had a couple of Jap motors for friendly off-the-lights runs and thats about it.

Maybe lucky or may have something to do with it looking bog standard and dirty!

Never had grief of any sort apart from the odd tale gater maybe its because ive got a wagon ??.

I came up against two nova boys once after i took advavntage of a short section of dual carriage way and overtook some slow traffic and a nova pulls out from the middle of this small knot of traffic and follows me down to the next set of lights.
Now i thought to myself i could ignore him and floor it when the lights change and **** him off or do what i did next.
So i thought why not have a quck chat and i wound down the window and gave the driver a quick complement on his tricked out nova and it was broad grins all round and i then out dragged him from the lights(nothing silly only up to the speed limit) and we exchanged a quick flash and wave as he pulled of at the next junction.

I cant help thinking that if i had not talked to him he would have thought i was just another ****** in an Impreza (probably did anyway ) and tried something silly to overtake.

About a year ago some moron rammmed a shopping trolley into my evo 7 - £500 damage. And on another occasion a car full of 18yr old ******* in a maxed escort all gave me the bird as they drove past on the motorway - totally unprovoked. But saying that I have had dozens of compliments at garages/lights etc. There are a lot of jealous losers around - beware!

i had this prob a few months ago in my scoob, four guys cut me right up and i had, had some BAD news that day and was not in the mood so i over took them and three other cars at same time got to next set of lights and they all got out so i jumped out( would not normaly but for the BAD news) had my friend with me called cs gas, sprayed the driver in faced who dropped like a stone the rest jumped back in escort whilst i kicked all living **** out of driver. I'm a v timid person usually they just caught me at the wrong time but feel v safe knowing that stuff works. Glad to hear ur ok though and would usualy drive off as fast as poss but for me mate.

unfortunately i'v had this about two years thats y i was so wiery as to it working but,i know this bloke down the pub,no i really do and he's got these torches that when u flick them out it becoms a cosh something the singapore police use about 25 centermetres long, i can ask him for a price and if he can get anything like the gas as its so easy to keep hidden. the torch-cosh thing does look the biz but it's a bit to tempting to kill the person then, let me know.

the gas is readily available for about 15-20 quid a can if u know the right people, just bear in mind u get caught with it and the bacon will nick u. As for the extending batons again theyre a bit dodgy as they and cs gas are classed as firearms albeit far less serious ones than a real gun. If you want a tool in the car get a long lever bar from halfords and get the right size socket for your alloy wheel nuts, then u have a justifiable reason to carry it and its a bloody massive metal bar to beat the **** out of car jackers with

Cool

I have an STi4 and live in an area where there are quite a few tricked up cars, mostly the usual stuff like Escort's, Astra's and the ever present bl***y Saxo's. The tricked up boy's and girls they usually just glare and tailgate you till they get fed up, with much jellyhead music playing loudly with the windows open in the driving rain and snow. But there have been two occassions that it was more than that.
First one my mate in an EVO got jumped in a car park in Newport and beat the c**p out of just for having a " Tw*ts car " and I was followed from Bridgend to Newport on the M4 by a white Astra GTE who kept belting past me and slowing down and then doing the same. I did 8 circuits of a motorway roundabout just to pi** him off and he still stayed with me !!. I put it down to pure jealousy and a lack of brain cells. Its like ***** envy they look at yours and look at there's and get all pent up and emotional.

Had the same experience in an STi wagon - guy in a Astra GTE following me through the local high street, driving right up my backside, flashing, music loud etc Pulled into the local Halfords he followed. I got out the car, he got out the car and started walking toward me. I opened the boot, which had two working Jack Russels in it (used to eating rabbits for dinner), he smiled and kept walking towardss the car, then both the terrier's went for him and he ran back to his car and sat there red faced while the dogs tried to chew the mud flaps off! GLEAMING!

Ive been attacked to many bloody times and ive had to defend myself and ended up breaking my hands and damaging myself as well as the idiots so this gas thingy sounds like a good idea mate as i want to be able to use my hands when i get older.

Me and my mate were in his land rover (1978 offroader jobbie). Some young lads decided theyd throw a rock at it and bust his windscreen. Turned around, mounted the pavement and watched them jump into the adjacent ditch full of stagnant water. Very funny.

As for keeping weapons in your car..... thats a bit dodgy.... wouldn't you be better off ditching the crappy cars that tail gate you?????

The only reason i have a baseball bat in the boot is because my dog likes to have a knock about..... honest officer!
