Two Mosques round my neck of the woods were erected by a lottery grant. Government money is our money and the same applies here.

O Christ! Reading this, Edward must be rallying his army and heading up to the North of England (Scotland) again! The Sassenachs are up to their old tricks again boys - call Mel up and give them a good pounding 
I dont know why people here are beating their chests and looking to the neighbours when the problems they express are made by their own people, and are much closer to home after all...

Had a chuckle at that - the English abroad are the worst integrators going! They set up their own little communities and refuse to even learn the local lingo, let alone pronounce the name of their village properly!

ENGLAND is a christian country and thats a fact you might be a muslim and fair play to you in my job i had to swear aligance to the Queen and im very proud to have done so. Our goverment has got a little soft and ethnic minoritys have taken advantage of our good will but ill tell you now its gona stop its getin to boiling point now and i for one am geting plssed off with it i know there must be others out there that feel the same i mean come on were putin these people up in free houseing and we have got x soldiers liveing in card bourd boxes in the street who have been to war for BRITON it makes me sick i could go on all night but whats the point

Well all I can say is I am glad I spent six years as a kid in Scotland (even if I did get a kicking when we did certain parts of history (I really do know how wrong Mel Gibson was))...

Why did I know this would soon turn into an anti-scottish thread. Its the football forum all over again.
Cossie, BNP and the rest are typical biggoted little englanders. They just 'cannot' accept the UK is no longer 'GREAT' Britain, just plain little ol england, and that the welsh, scots and irish couldnt give 2 flying ***** about them anymore. The smack of leather on willow, cucumber sandwitches on the lawn, yeah, the good old days, lol. How pathetic.
Dont I just luv all the clean air we have up here, the empty roads without speed cameras, the mountains and scenery, the fact we are 'loved' rather than reviled all over the world etc etc etc

Popeye, I agree with a lot of what you say m8, not all of it but a lot, dont fall into the trap though of agreeing with the likes of cossie and BNP, open up your eyes. We do have asylum seekers etc up here btw, not as many but then london has a higher population than the whole of scotland and obvioulsy we have less job opportunities, houses, etc etc. I do feel that immigration is well out of control btw, my post was directed mainly at cossie as he cannot even live with his immediate neighbours never mind anyone else.

First of all, I am proud to be Scottish (not brittish). I am currently living in Sheffield with my fiance. I don't have anything against english people, but when they come out with smarmy comments like ...'Scotland and Ireland should respect us English and stop trying to keep ignoring the fact that they are English and should try their best to follow our English ways.' really pi55e5 me off big time.
Scotland was it's own country until Edward I wanted his own way and got it. The theiving ba5tard even took our stone of destiny. It is a stone ffs. (The didn't call him "the Hammer of the Scots," for nothing!) Scotland also had its own parliament until it was abolished by ENGLAND. We only got it back after 300 years. I'm stopping now cus I will never shut up if I keep going.
Scotland also has a hell of a lot of culture, tradition and history for scottish people to be proud of. Believe it or not, it even ranks up there among 'Bangers and Mash' and David Beckham.
This is about people bearing grudges, about history about what might of been and what is. Personally, I would rather Scotland become independant again. We could do it, 81% of the UK's oil comes from Scotland, whiskey, shortbread, basically all the things that make Scotland Scotland, and I'm DAMN PROUD
I know this might sound a bit sad, but I have 1 large Saltire hanging on my living room wall, 1 small Saltire and 1 small Lion Rampant on sticks stuck in one of my plant pots on my unit. To be honest, I hate the union Jack, each country is individual. The UK is Edward I's goal and he got it, he is gone, its history.
I love what I am and there ain't no English person gonna make me ashamed of it.
