It seems that unlike yourself I do seem to understand what the word predominant means. Do you think it has anything to do with numbers or who has the upper hand ? What does dominant mean mastermind ? Like it or lump you are wrong and I am right
Yes you are bound by Scottish law but ultimately this is governed and overseen by the state which in turn is oversen and headed by the Monarch which just happens to the head of the Church of ENGLAND. As I previously stated you seem so astute that you couldnt quit work out whay it was called the church of England.
Is it not the case that the head of manys choosen belief catholisism is headed by the Pope who is the Daddy in The Vatican which as you will be aware is its own Country.

OK, not responding to anything in particular, but as a point of interest did you know that the Vatican City was an Independent STATE.
Of course some supposedly clever folk who understand big words think its a Country

I could be wrong but the Queen is pretty much a bloody German anyway and and I think we are Run by a Scot who sounds English and wants to be American. I still dont actually understand cossies argument about the C of E?! Or what its got to do with Law or anything else.

Ask yourself this....why do all the imigrants make the u.k there mecca?? why not stop in germany, france, holland whilst making there pilgrimage here??? nuff said!
They dont come here for the climate thats for sure!!
not singling you out cossie but you said the homeless people on the streets is due t lack of education....there are lots of highly educated people on the streets that once held down demanding responsible jobs.
look at the time prince charles met one of his old school buddies in a homeless centre?? what ever happened to him must of been tragic.
cant understand since september 11th why there hasnt been a block on imigrants as a security risk as the goverment obviouusly know more thn there letting on??

If I was going to be pedantic I would point out the following:
Germany, Fance and Holland are all proper names and therefore should start with a capital letter. As should the start of a new sentance and initials such as U.K.
"There" in the context you have used it should have been "their".
The answer to the question is because Germany and France seem to ignore the convention that states the first country that the asylum seeker gets to should house them.
The UK is a softer touch, Germany and France use camps or detention centres to house them while the UK gives them houses and cars.

Jason - I stand corrected. After all, I mistakenly got the info from Italian friends of mine who live in Rome have confirmed the Italians consider it a state, as opposed to some trivia website..
