Simon,
I noticed you had one for sale, but I was worried that my current SIM (on Vodafone) wouldn't allow any of the interesting functions!! So I'm moving back to Orange and getting the phone for no money!!
Good luck with your sale!

I have one too and really like it. I use the diary fuction a lot and also like the way the phone book works. Not only does it look for T9 options of what you are entering, but also numeric. So, if you have a number on a piece of paper and enter it into the phone, it will tell you who it is.
I also really like the web browser. I've never used the wap function. The web browser is useful on Pub Quiz night, if google is in your favourites folder
As for Orange, they are the nuts of a company. I twatted mine on Friday night, after months of ownership. I rang them Saturday morning and a replacement was delivered to my home on SUNDAY morning. Now that is service. Because everything is sync'd on the PC through the craddle (comes with it), I haven't lost any data or phone numbers.

Pete,
Did you take out the Orange Care package for an additional £5/month? Or was this part of the 12 month warranty?
I normally take the insurance options, as I know what I'm like!

I have the insurance option which means if I lose it, break it or it goes wrong, I get a replacement to where ever I am in 24 hours. I'm typing this from the phone using T9 text input

Well as an early user of the SPV who bought two here are my views -
They are built well - so far mine has been dropped loads and soaked (thanks to a 3 year old!)...
It'd never do 3 days standby, but 2 hours talking is possible.
Of the two I bought - one was crap and replaced - it had no battery life (less than a day) and hung several times a day - the replacement didn't suffer that way (as doesn't the other).
Otherwise the phone is excellent - don't use the web browser that much, but do use MSN and find that amusing - eg today stuck on the M6 (as it was closed ) I was able to chat to a couple of friends and save myself from the 'motorway madness'!
Outlook Calender/Contacts sync-ing is the reason I went for the phone. The camera/music/vids are all good fun too but I'm not a massive user of those items!

The gadget bible: T3!!
SPV - 5 stars
Sony Ericsson P800 - 4 stars
O2 XDA - 4 stars
Sharp GX-10 - 4 stars
Panasonic GD87 - 4 stars
The only other phone in the magazine to get 5 stars is the Sony Erisson T68i, which I don't like!!!

Just wanted to say, thanks to all for the advice!
Mine should be delivered tomorrow (pre-noon) and will be tinkering through the afternoon no doubt!!!
Only thing is that the place doing them for free didn't have any stock, so ended up paying £19.99 for it (still better than £129.99 at the Orange shop!! )
Cheers

Yeap moved over to Orange now! At least Carolines calls to me will be out of her minutes!
As a side issue to anyone who has this phone, can you lock the keypad? If so, how?
Too lazy to search for it now!!!

Quality - fine
Battery life - 36 hours
Ringtones - CLASS (you can use ANY wav file)
Takes Secure Digital cards for extra storage (you get an 8 meg one with the phone, I now have a 64 meg one - handy for storing MP3's to listen to using the media player)
The address book is very nifty. You just start typing a contacts name (using t9 style text) and it then brings up a list of compatible contacts in your address book.
The only problem is the Microsoft / Orange application certificates... no software can be installed unless you get rid of this "protection". I've got DoomSPV waiting to be installed. Apparently, taking this certification off removes the facility of being able to use the online Orange Update.
I'll post more as and when I have time.
