I wonder what mouse kebab tastes like![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
Failing that, you could always fit a little wheel for them
and attach it to your turbo for quicker spooling![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
You may gain another 0.00000001 bhp
Thats not to be squeaked at![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Friend of mine had a WRX imported from Japan - and when he took it for it's first service, they found a dead mouse inside the air ducts. Poor bugger had been causing a lot of "bump bump" sounds inside the cooling ducts near the turbo.
My guess is it'd been trying to keep warm but died!

Following my original mouse attack thread and my subsequent plea for advice I finally got my car back on Friday.
I'd decided to try poison in the engine bay and I put in a couple of bait trays on Friday night (I'd wanted to have a go at one of the ultra-sonic devices but could only find mains versions).
I didn't use the car on Saturday and popped the bonnet this afternoon to check thiings out.
Initial thought was that Mrs Numptie was having a laugh ... but no, here's what I found (this is not a wind-up).

I'd heard of the poor little fellas being found dead in the bait trays when using modern efficient poisons - but I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself.
There are a couple of close-ups here for the non squeamish.

Here's where this mouse ended up ...

For info. here's where I park my car ...

Having spoken to many people about this, I'm convinced that this was the work of an individual who'd got the idea and got the taste.
Hopefully problem solved.
For clarity, I don't take pleasure in killing animals. When it becomes a safety or hygeine issue though, I'm afraid such measures are necessary.

Numptie,
Have you considered selling this story to a newspaper... I'm sure it would make it![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
BTW - carry on baiting your engine - there will be more than one of the b*ggers...

Nicely dealt with Numptie.
I use salted peanuts in mousetraps, works a treat. Not as humane as bait maybe, but the peanuts serve as a nice treat after all mice are caught![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Edited to day that fire pic looks a bit smokey, think your lum's needing swept min...
Mike.
