I think MG entered the WRC last year with Gyndaff Evans at the helm. Don't recall them even finishing a rally event in the top 15 near mind top 5. Nuff said.

>>Who's bothered about Toyota ? This is a Subaru forum for Gawds sake. <<
It's also the "Other Marques" section ..... for crissakes.
My previous comments were a little tongue in cheek but not those that follow:
Now it's my turn to reiterate..... IIRC, Lexus is Toyota's baby. They entered the BTCC with that all that clout behind them but with very limited success. Don't think they got many podiums, certainly few or no wins. So did the mighty Honda outfit with the CTR based cars and it took them a very long time before they got "a result".
With very limited resources, MG entered some ZS based BTCC touring cars and within a very rude short space of time, achieved not just podium finishes, but wins ..... against the might of Japan, GM et al.
Yeah, I know, they're British so must be crap ...... say it often enough and it will rub off on everything British ....
The determined failure of so many of my countryman to recognise and give credit to our own manufacturers is very disappointing. Yours is just another example. Others can lick alien's boots to the exclusion of our own worthy efforts .... go ahead. Include me out.
Credit where credit is due .... not a bad motto don't you think?
I cheered as much as anyone when the flying scot won back in 1995. Was a Subaru fan prior to that and since. As impressive as those Subaru exploits have been, they are nowhere near as impressive as those Championship rally cars of the early-mid 1980s which were eventually outlawed. The goalposts have long since been moved. Subaru took full advantage.... and why not.
As I said, credit where credit is due.

Hi Guys
Just a quickie
1. MGR have had serious Parts supply probs in the last few months but they should have been sorted before xmas, try and get hold of another dealer.
2. MGF 1.8vvc 0-60 7.2
MGTF160 0-60 6.9
3. Yep in the wet (as with all RWD Mid engined cars) they can be interesting and quite fun round the corners. In the dry they are great fun.
4. Build quality can be varible.
5. They are a convertable!!
6. Quicker than an MX5 & cheaper
