I believe the correct procedure is to hit the brakes after the diffuser alerts you to a speed trap, then quickly switch it off so the cops can get a reading of you *doing the legal limit*. That way they shouldn't suspect anything untoward.
The guy who's been nicked obviously didn't switch it off at all. The berk.
