OK depends on the chair but very effective..
if its a gas filled where you pull the lever up to raise the chair, or if you are sitting on it it lowers, sellotape the lever up, and sellotape around the main stem so its "stuck" in position
when he sits on it, it will freefall..........

cut bristles off tippex if hes got any

play with windows scheduler, can have some fun with this

super glue a pen to his desk

does he have lever arch files? swop the order of the documents from front to back

Lots of suggestions for changing the keys on stuff but there is a good subtle version of this for telephones...

Take the phone apart and convert the keypad from the normal telephone layout

1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
* 0 #

to a calculator layout

7 8 9
4 5 6
1 2 3
* 0 #

we did this once and because the layout looks "right" the guy couldn't figure it out, called the engineer out and everything

I recommend that one as well as the coffee cups one. He'll think the coffee cups are the only trick

Laxative in his coffe whitener is a good one, you could run a book on how many times he runs for the toilet during the day

How about the following

Upturned full glasses/cups of water on his desk, this is great cos they know they've been done and it provides loads of amusement watching them sort it out.

Adjust the language settings to turkish or some other stange setting on his mobile phone, this is a real killer.

Tuna or other potentially smelly sandwich left in a book or brochure that they use infrequently or just generally hidden around there desk.

Fill in the telephone earpiece with blue tack and colour in to match the phone, this one is hilarious, especailly when they start shouting down the phone cos they can't hear the other person.

Tape up the casters on their desk chair, decorate their work space with rubbish, orange peel is quite good for this.

You could try www.rjlsoftware.com there are loads of pranks for the computer here, (sorry don't know how to make it clickable)just load them in to the startup of the computer for hours of IT fun.

all food for thought!!

Not really an office prank but I like it anyway. you need 2 glasses of water and 2 pound coins. You tell the subject that you you bet the 2 pound coins that you get remove them from under their hands without them moving their hands. To make sure they dont move their hands you tell them that you will place a cup of water/beer on top of their hands. Once in position you tell them that there is no way that you can get the coins and walk away..............they are left with their hands on the desk and no way to move them without spilling the water.

I like it anyway

The autoreplace word trick is an awesome one.

Every time a colleague wrote "cheque processing" out came "cheese processing". Fantastic, and until you've seen it happen it freaks you out utterly.
