Glennriding over Kirkstone...yep agree with that as done it in my old 93WRX a few years back.
What about the A4061 then A4059 from the A40 to the Brecon Beacons (A470). I think this is where Clarkson was testing the RS Focus on Top Gear.

Mountain road on the TT course in The Isle of man was pretty good fun, hardly any traffic, great visibility, good mix of bends, no junctions and oh, what was it now?? Ah yes no speed limits!!

Anyone tried the forgotten motorway, the M45 by Coventry down to the M1, only 1 junction about a mile from the start, then nothing but farm tracks and B roads on the overbridges down as far as the M1. Took my GT-B well into 3 figures down there a while back.

Corney Fell in W. Cumbria. Loads of twisties and steep hills, so you don't even need to break the speed limit...
Every Cumbrian knows the west bound stretch of the A66 beside Bassenthwaite lake....

Oh yes. The Cumbrian police know about it too, so you need to keep your eyes well alert...
Corney is great, though, assuming you avoid the Sellafield rush hour. The perfect road for a scoob - 4wd and lots of power/traction means no 2wd drive car can compete. Drive across there and your grin will last for days
Colin.

I used to live at Thurlaston, at the end of the M45. Teriffic road, Jaguar used to use it for unofficial high speed testing. It got quite a name, and the police now use a helicopter a couple of times a year 'to be seen to be doing something'....
