United Kingdom Seiki-Juku Karate Organisation has been my main art for the past ten years.
Bajie Junior does Choi Kwang Do but says he will move on when he gets his black belt.
Nowadays I try to move around from dojo to dojo to train with Higashi [Ealing,Ruislip].
Ventured to East London as Terry Daly does a great session on Friday nights.
Have been to some of Ticky Donovans courses and was training with Mervyn [sp] Etienne weekly until life got in the way.
Hope to get back in the groove very soon.

i trained Taekwondo (TAGB) under Kim Stones for 8 years then moved on to Balintawak Eskrima for 2 years. I also boxed and still train.
All very good in their own repect. The empty hand eskrima is good self defence. Taekwondo is more of a sporty martial art rather than an out and out street fighter art but it still has its place.

Baijie - I too studied Seike Juku Karate under Sensai Perry - did it for 4 years and got to taking my 3rd KYU, but never did the grading.
Very hard form if you ask me (but highly effective), the black belt gradings at the Busen were mental
Gave it up after a few broken ribs, knockout and a busted toe....
Who's your Sensei these days?

Did Judo for a year. Found it boring and totally unhelpful in the real world! Want to start muay(sp) thai boxing asap. Just need to find a good instructor/place to practice. Found a place in Nottingham City Centre but the times are all wrong for me!!

I train at the Wembley dojo.
Tuesday was Sensei Ian Ordin but has been taken over by Pravin.
Thursday is run be Sensei Mick Braithwaite.
Got my first dan in 1995. 23 fights ... all hard. Battered ribs, off work for a week and mentally unstable a lot longer
Currently in training for my 2nd Dan. Hopefully this Easter.
The gradings have changed quite a bit now and are not so brutal. Still draining though. finding it quite difficult to keep my focus at the moment and when training some of the punches are starting to hurt.
I'm putting it down to old age

I used to also train on a Friday eve with a chap called Ian (forgot his surname) in Weybridge. Watching him take his black belt grading was grim - he was very very fit but went down after the 5th fight (or so) - he didnt go the distance and failed the grading on his first attempt....at that point I thought WTF! there is now way I could get through that
I'm not suprised they changed the grading structure, nobody should have to go through that...

Doesn't matter how fit you are. Once you get on the mat another element gets involved.
The only way you can ever make it through is by sparring. Lots of it and having at least two torpedo techniques in your arsenal that can be utilised without thinking in the later stages.
To this day I cannot remember fights 6-19 on my dan grading. I only know they were there because I counted the line before and after!
Does sneaking around a corner make me a Ninja
