Test?...no chance.... there are'nt that many people other than the police that have these devices
I have the Snooper SLD920.. well in fact I have 2 lots.. one set for the front and one or the rear!
They do work!.. the overall design on the jammers is a little naf as the wires into the unit seem to corrode over in the UK.. not quite so bad in some of the US states
The fitting of the jammers is fairly easy.. if I were you any reasonable car stereo place should be able to fit them, but dont get ripped off.. its about a 1 hr job.. and should cost no more than say £35
You have to fit the fronts either side of the number plate (i.e. where the police usually aim their laser gun. Its mounted across the strips in front of your radiator.. and make sure you mount it them as far apart as possible.. they will work regardless but are more effective spaced out.. For me it was a little bit of a pain because I have a Front mounted intercooler
For the rear..and yes I would strongly recommend a rear one.. you can only really fit above the rear number plate area....
The Snooper SLD920 warning sound is pretty useless if you have your stereo on... so much so that I fitted a column of LED's down the Drivers side Pillar of the CAR.. Yeah I really did.. and they are very, very effective.. especially given the onslaught of the non-police mobile units
The Unit can be switched off.. me.. I leave it on jamming if its a mobile unit.. and I can confirm that the unit works front and rear heheeeeee
I have never been questioned by the Police about them, but if I do I'll say that its part of the alarm system and used to open the electric door to my garage.. which is what is mostly what these things were meant for in the first place anyway
Price wise thats good.. the first units I got were in the Uk and cost £225 as part of a deal.. they corroded and I got a second lot for £239.. they are cheaper in the States as a Blinder.. at approx half the price and given I work over there thats a good thing!
