I would apologise to POC as well, but I won't because he made no attempt to put forward a rational, structured argument and chose instead to go for the personal attack method.

So that explains why I have seen you discussing this across about 15 threads?
I think it's all getting a bit much. a lot of people have said their piece, and are continuing to muppetise other threads with their arguments.
I suggest we book a nice little pub with a small sandpit, 4 gallons of olive oil, and let the fetish twins battle it out..

I dont post the Racing, Race, Sex threads, and I also cant control what my nephew sees on a public forum
But then as you say it is a Public forum, hence moderating should be even tighter than what it is
Having a private sign on only forum is a way of controlling someof the content better
That still doesnt take into account the more political issues, they still need moderating and not just shoved in a private forum
I dont post the Racing, Race, Sex threads, and I also cant control what my nephew sees on a public forum

because all you are doing is re-inforcing the opinion that your viewpoint is bigoted and one-sided.
It's enought to discuss somethink in a public forum, but dragging it into every conversation makes it all abit tiresome..

The 'I'm over 18' option is a good idea. So if little johnny signs up, see's dodgy stuff and mummy has a go at Simon, Simon can turn round and say he lied about it age. the onus is on the user not the owner of the bbs.

I've complained about the moderation on this board once. I've defended the mods on far more occasions than that.
The first TG rights thread was posted 4 days ago. What was your problem with me prior to 4 days ago?
I've been using this board regularly since May/June last year and in that time I have posted useful information, both car related and non-car related. Then again, I don't know who you are, so I wouldn't expect you to know who I am.

Sorry - won't work just because someone presses a button saying they are over 18 
It is still a BBS & the onus is very much on the PUBLISHER (Scoobynet) to ensure they keep what is published OK - so an ickle button saying I'm over 18 & I'm good & I'm open minded & & &... just is not enough to stop someone (who has clicked on said little button) getting the ar$e & suing SN
& don't say it won't happen...

TK - may I suggest that if you have a problem with the moderating of this BBS, rather than air your views in public, you email the mods concerned or even email Simon direct at webmaster@scoobynet.co.uk
